6 apps for on-model apparel stills
Photoroom Fashion, Botika, Claid, Versely, Pixelcut, and Photoshop put a garment on a body. Pick by AI model, ghost, or a real shoot.
On-model apparel stills are a garment on a body, not a pack on a sweep. The body can be a photographed person, a ghost mannequin, or an AI fashion model. Those three are not the same file, and marketplaces do not treat them the same. Six apps cover the job. Photoroom is Virtual Model at listing volume. Botika is a fashion-model desk with a Shopify door. Claid is AI Fashion in a credit pool. Versely is the reference edit when you already have a garment still and a person still. Pixelcut is ghost and flatten. Photoshop is the real shoot. This page is that list. It is not a white-pack MAIN roundup. It is not a lookbook film.
Amazon adult clothing MAIN still wants a photograph of a standing model. An AI body is a Shopify gallery, an ad, or an Amazon alternate until your counsel says otherwise.
What on-model stills actually are
Three deliverables get collapsed into "put it on a model."
The marketplace MAIN. Amazon's product image help (G1881, read 20 September 2026) says: show on a model if the product is clothing in adult sizes. The model must be standing, not sitting, kneeling, leaning, or lying down. No mannequin of any kind, including hanger. Clothing accessories and multipacks stay flat, without a model. The clothing-specific page (G200498950) requires MAIN photographed on a model, with exceptions for children's or baby undergarments, leotards, swimwear, and similar form-fitting items, which must be shown without models. Sketches and graphical representations are prohibited. Only photos are allowed. Transparent garments must keep the model covered. Pure white, hex #FFFFFF. Frontal, product complete, about 85 percent fill, aspect close to 3:4.
The storefront gallery. Shopify will take an on-model still as featured. Adding product media (20 September 2026) still caps a product at 250 media. Variant images: one still per variant, no video on the swatch. Each colorway needs its own on-body preview or you will sell navy as cream.
The campaign still. A directed pose, a street, a studio color. This is the file AI fashion tools actually sell. It is allowed to look like a lookbook. It is not allowed to misrepresent drape, length, or print.
Ghost mannequin is a fourth cousin: the garment holds a body shape with no person. Useful on a PDP. Illegal as Amazon adult MAIN (visible mannequin / no person).
QA the garment at 100 percent, not the face. Print, stitch, hem length, neckline. A prettier model with the wrong sleeve is a return.
The six apps
1. Photoroom. Start here if on-model is a catalog chore, not a campaign. AI Fashion Models sit on paid Photoroom as a credit tool. Photoroom's pricing (read 20 September 2026) lists Fashion Models 1K up to 1,600 generations on Pro, 5,000 on Max, 15,000 on Ultra, using the monthly AI credit pool (Pro 8,000 credits, Max 25,000, Ultra 75,000). Fashion Models 2K starts at Max (up to 185 generations). 4K fashion is Ultra only (up to 310). Independent US dollar reads (PulseSignal, 14 September 2026; AI Media Studio, 26 August 2026) put Pro at $12.99 a month ($7.50 yearly), Max at $34.99 ($20.99 yearly), Ultra at $99 ($82.50 yearly). Shopify sync is still Max and up. Pro will generate 1K on-model stills. It will not publish them to Shopify. Ghost-style cutouts are a core tool. A standing white-field model may look MAIN-shaped. Treat it as generated until you compare it to a real wear.
2. Botika. Open Botika when the brief is "flatlay in, on-model out" for fashion, not for bottles. Botika's pricing (read 20 September 2026, yearly toggle) lists Pro at $46 a month billed annually with 600 credits a year, 2K, limited models and backgrounds, two retouch rounds. Advanced is the popular tier: 4K, all models and backgrounds, team seats, custom background colors. Enterprise is custom. Confirm the monthly toggle at checkout. The FAQ is the meter: each photo is 1 credit, each video is 5. Credits roll while the subscription is active. Processing is about 15 minutes, with human retouch on the paid rounds. The Shopify app is a real door (upgrade billing differs on the Shopify app versus the web platform). Kids and youth models are listed as coming soon. Do not use Botika to dodge Amazon's no-model rule on children's form-fitting garments.
3. Claid. Open Claid when on-model is one operation in a folder pipeline. Claid's pricing page (20 September 2026) bills AI Fashion at 4 credits a generation, same sticker as AI Photoshoot and AI Edit. Background removal is 1 credit. The FAQ names Pro at 2,000 credits, with batch processing on Pro and Business. Independent yearly-toggle reads (Pikes, late July 2026) put Essentials at $9 a month billed yearly and Pro at $35. The API pricing page lists AI fashion at 2 credits per image on the API meter, which is a different door than the web suite. Use Claid when an engineer will send garments and get back on-body stills at a named size. Use Photoroom when a merchandiser will click. Use Botika when you want their model library and retouch queue.
4. Versely. Versely sits here because a lot of shops already have a person photo and a garment photo, and they do not want a second fashion seat. Attach both. Ask for the garment on the person, standing, white or a named set, identity and print locked. That is Nano Banana 2 at 4 credits discounted (7 full), edit-image, up to 14 references. Imagen 4 is shut down (17 August 2026). Do not open a leftover Imagen card because an old fashion post named Google. Flux 2 Max is 6 credits, photoreal, text-to-image only. It will invent a dress. Do not invent a dress you sell. Recraft is vectors, not photos. A Recraft "model" is a drawing. Read Recraft is for vectors, not photos before you upload artwork as a wear shot. Versely is not Botika's model library. It is not Photoroom Batch. It is the app when the stills already exist and the job is a reference composite you will QA at the hem. Motion is later. Hailuo 2.3 Fast is 12 credits at 6s discounted (23 full) and only after the still is locked. Do not animate a hem you have not proofed.
5. Pixelcut. Start here if the honest file is a ghost or a flatten, not a campaign face. Pixelcut's pricing (20 September 2026, yearly) is Pro at $8 a month billed yearly ($10 monthly), 600 AI credits, unlimited background removal, 1,000 batch exports, commercial license. Ghost mannequin and try-on sit in the product-photo toolkit Pixelcut already sells to Shopify and Amazon sellers. Ghost is the right PDP extra. Ghost is the wrong Amazon adult MAIN. Unlimited background removal is how you isolate a real model shot you already took. Do not skip the real shoot because Pixelcut can fake a neck.
6. Photoshop. Open Photoshop when you actually booked a body. Adobe's Photography plan is $19.99 a month, annual billed monthly, desktop Photoshop plus Lightroom and 1TB (Adobe US compare; Photutorial, 30 July 2026). This is the path for Amazon adult MAIN you intend to keep: standing model, white paper, 3:4, 85 percent fill, no hanger, shoes on except swim and sleep (Amazon Fashion clothing style guide). Frequency separation, a path around flyaways, a true-white fill. Generative fill can extend paper. It can also grow a second sleeve. For MAIN, prefer the photo. Save Firefly for campaign extras you will not send to the first slot.
How to pick without a casting day
Name the slot before you name the app.
- Amazon adult MAIN: photograph a standing person. Photoshop (or a retoucher). AI fashion is the wrong first click.
- Amazon children's form-fitting MAIN: flat, no model. Photoroom or Pixelcut cutout.
- Shopify featured on-body, no studio day: Photoroom Fashion, Botika, or Claid. QA print and length.
- You already have a staff photo and a garment still: Versely Nano Banana 2.
- Ghost for a PDP extra: Pixelcut or Photoroom core.
- Real campaign, real person: Photoshop.
Two apps is a label. Photoroom plus a real MAIN shoot covers a lot of apparel. Botika plus Shopify Media covers a storefront that never needed Amazon. Add Versely when the stills exist. Add Claid when the folder is a pipeline. Add Pixelcut for ghost. Do not buy six fashion seats.
Disclose synthetic people where the ad platform asks. Do not present an AI model as a customer testimonial.
After the garment is on a body
Proof drape against a real wear or a fit sample. AI will slim a size, lengthen a hem, and calm a wrinkle that is the fabric. If the size chart says cropped, the still cannot look long. Each child color needs its own on-body. A recolored MAIN that still shows yesterday's dye is a colorway job, not this one.
White field, standing, 3:4, 85 percent: that is Amazon MAIN hygiene even when the body is real. Shopify featured can be a crop you would print on a lookbook. Keep the files separate.
When the stills already exist and the job is a reference composite, sign up and run the edit. When the job is a standing MAIN photograph, book the person. The list is six apps. The garment is one wear.
FAQ
Will Amazon accept an AI fashion model as adult clothing MAIN?
Amazon's clothing image help still says MAIN must be photographed on a model, and it prohibits sketches, drawings, and graphical representations. An AI body is not a photograph of a person wearing the unit. Use a real standing model for MAIN. Put generated on-model files in gallery, A+, ads, or Shopify until your own counsel says otherwise.
Is ghost mannequin enough for apparel MAIN?
Not for Amazon adult clothing. G1881 bans showing any part of a mannequin, including clear or hanger. Ghost is a PDP extra. Photograph a standing person for that MAIN.
Why is Versely next to Botika instead of first?
Because Botika is a fashion-model product. Versely is a reference edit on stills you already have. If you need their library and retouch queue, you are in Botika. If you need Nano Banana 2 to put this garment on this person, you are here.
