Campaign videos: hook pack against a locked body
Do not regenerate the product every opening.
Do not regenerate the product every opening. An Indiegogo campaign has one SKU. The first three seconds are the unknown. If each hook is a new generate of the widget, you are not testing openings. You are rolling a different product five times and calling it a test.
Create a branded hook pack is N distinct openings against one body. The product does not get a second chance to drift. The openings are meant to disagree with each other. That disagreement is the product. The comparison against a look-interpolation tool is Pikaframes versus a hook pack: a morph of one still is not a second promise.
Openings change; the product does not
A campaign video has two objects:
- The body — demo, proof, the ask, the SKU the backer is buying. This is locked. Same unit, same colourway, same cut into the CTA.
- The openings — the first three seconds. Callout, proof, objection, price, failure of the old fix. These are allowed to disagree.
Regenerating the product inside every opening violates the first object. Labels restyle. Ports move. You cannot pick a winner, because the test moved the thing you were selling. Lock the body first. Then buy openings. Do not buy five full ads.
What a branded hook pack is
One brief. The agent plans N distinct hooks so they do not repeat each other, charges once for the whole pack, and submits every clip as a 1080p portrait job rendered with Vidu Q3. Each finished hook comes back with its line burned on as big TikTok-style text. You score them the way a muted feed will see them.
Required input is brand context — a sentence or two about the campaign, not five lines you already like. If you paste the lines, you have turned the pack into a renderer and thrown away planning. Count three to read, five or more to test. Vidu Q3 is fixed on purpose so the variants are comparable. You are not picking Veo versus Seedance inside the pack.
That is not a finished film, not five separate generates, not a morph look. Using the pack as a movie maker, or buying five near-duplicates of the hero demo, both waste the only part a campaign can A/B: the first seconds.
The Indiegogo miss
Pre-order creative is under pressure to "show the product more." The cheap interpretation is another product generate per hook. The model invents a slightly different enclosure each time. You spent motion credits to undermine the campaign page.
Show the product in the body, once, from a locked still or a take you trust. Spend the pack on sentences that hand off to the same demo at the same cut. A prettier interpolation of one kitchen still is still one idea. If the brief is variants of the first three seconds, generate a pack. If it is a path between two locked stills, use frame tools and stop calling it a hook test.
Attach the winner to a locked body
Score distinctness first. If two clips are the same job in different adjectives, the planner missed. You bought coverage. Use it.
Then attach. The body is the SKU pass — image-to-video or reference-to-video from the real unit, or footage you already shot. Do not regenerate that body to "match the energy" of each open. One body, many openings, one cut point, one ratio. That is the only test a media buyer can read.
The pack is charged as a set, shown before you confirm. Width is a test-design choice, not a cart quantity. Do not pick three because you are picturing per-clip video pricing.
FAQ
Can each hook be a full demo of the product?
No. Then you do not have a pack. You have N product films, N chances for the unit to drift, and no shared body to score against. Openings first, one locked demo after.
Why is Vidu Q3 fixed on the pack?
Comparability. The openings should disagree in promise, not in generator. Route a hero film on another model after you pick the line. Do not turn the pack into a model bake-off.
Is Pikaframes a cheaper way to get campaign openings?
Pika's frame tools interpolate a look between two stills. That is a path, not a test. Buy it when both posters already exist. Do not buy it when you do not yet know which sentence holds a stranger.
What if the product still is not locked yet?
Stop. Every opening from an unapproved unit is a different SKU. Lock the still or the demo, then run the pack. Regenerating the product is how a campaign gets five widgets and zero winners.
