Shopee: unoriginal-product-video rules still apply in spirit
Do not recycle the same Seedance body with a new hook and call it original.
Do not recycle the same Seedance body with a new hook and call it original. Shopee is not TikTok Shop, and this page will not pretend we have Shopee's university text on file. The production rule still applies in spirit: a shopping feed wants a file you made about the SKU you sell, not a caption swap on footage you already shipped, borrowed, or generated once and watermarked again.
TikTok Shop's unoriginal-content rule and AI product video is that shape on a marketplace we have cited. Same three columns: the file is yours, the product matches the listing, a new hook is not a new video.
Originality is the source files
"Yours" means you can point at the stills, the pack shot, and the script and say they are the seller's. An AI product video built from your angles is original in that sense: the bottle is the bottle, the label is the label, the generate is a scene around a contract you photographed.
What does not become original because you opened a new project:
- The same Seedance take, recut, with a different first line burned on.
- A marketplace download, a competitor unboxing, a manufacturer reel, with your shop name in the corner.
- Five "new" ads that share one body and five adjectives.
Generation does not launder provenance. If the body is last week's file, the hook is decoration. Shopping platforms that punish unoriginal content are looking at the clip, not at your calendar.
A hook pack is openings, not a laundromat
Create a branded hook pack plans distinct openings, charges once for the set, and renders 1080p portrait clips with the line burned in. That is a test of first seconds. It is not a licence to bolt five new first seconds onto one reused product body and call each upload original.
Use the pack the way it is built: brief the SKU, get distinct jobs, attach a winner to a body that still matches the listing. Do not duplicate one Seedance orbit five times and let captions pretend they are five films. Same motion, different sticker, is not two videos. That is the spirit of an unoriginal-product-video rule even when the marketplace name changes.
The SKU on screen is the listing
Marketplace ads fail for mismatch as often as they fail for reuse. Do not let the generate invent a feature, a size, a colourway, or a medical claim the PDP does not support. Reference-to-video exists so the pack stays yours. Zoom the take to 100% and read the label before it goes near the listing.
A new hook that claims a result the body never shows is still a listing problem. Comedy can stay. Fabricated efficacy cannot. The hook pack will print whatever line you brief; the brief has to be true of the SKU.
Keep recorded video and live selling as different objects if the marketplace treats them that way. Do not "scale" a live with a reused body and a new voice and argue originality.
One body, many tests — not many uploads of one body
The honest workflow:
- Photograph the pack. Lock identity.
- Generate the motion once (or a few true variants: angle, surface, length).
- Run a hook pack against that offer.
- Ship the pairing that is both distinct and true.
If you need another listing video, change the body — a new still, a new move, a new SKU — not only the burned line. Caption-swapping a Seedance file is editing. It is not original product video in spirit.
FAQ
Does this mean I cannot A/B hooks on Shopee?
You can test openings. Test them as openings: different first seconds, same honest product. Do not upload the same body five times as five new product videos and expect a uniqueness policy to treat them as five creations.
If I generated the clip, is it automatically original?
Only if you created it from assets that are yours and you are not impersonating someone else's review. A generate pointed at a downloaded unboxing is still their unboxing. See the Shop unoriginal writeup for that logic spelled against a named marketplace.
Can the hook pack replace a new product shoot?
No. The pack is a set of branded first seconds, charged once, with Vidu Q3 portrait clips and burned text. It does not photograph a new SKU and it does not make last week's Seedance body a new file.
What if the manufacturer sent a hero reel?
That reel is theirs unless the licence says you may recut it as your shop video. Adding a Versely hook does not change authorship. Shoot or generate from your pack shot, or do not post it as your original.
