Empty cafe plate, overlay open-play nights. Ideogram the chalkboard. Publisher box-identity holds are a different swarm.

A board-game cafe listing is a room a local will recognise: the open table, the shelf they already walked, the chalkboard that names tonight. It is not a publisher orbit of a box they do not own. Motion of chairs and window light is allowed. Guessed lettering on the board is not. Photograph the room. Letter the night. Do not generate a second game.

The open table is the plate

The product is a table that is free, a night that is named, a room that is yours. Text-to-video will invent a prettier hall with melted type and a shelf of cousin boxes. That is a different venue. Guests pick a cafe by reading the hours and recognising the room. The chalkboard cannot drift.

Photograph the empty table square to the room — same window, same shelf line, same paint. Prompt only camera if you even need motion: a slow hold, no new boxes walking onto the felt. Re-describing "cozy board-game cafe, packed tables" is how the model draws a second shop. If the still would not hang as the venue photo, stop. Crop people unless they are staff you have on a release. You need the table.

    Ideogram the chalkboard

The night name has to survive a pause. "Open Play Wednesday" becoming "Open Plat Wenesday" at second four is a lost walk-up, not a style. Video models redraw letterforms every frame. That is how a title becomes a different glyph, and how a game the shelf never contained appears in a hand the model invented.

Ideogram V4 is the text-to-image row for posters, logos, and accurate text rendering. Six credits a call. Aspects include 1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, and 3:4. Quote the night name in the brief. Name the case and the line breaks.

Use Ideogram when you do not have a photograph of the board — a new night, a rename, a pop-up. If the real chalkboard is already on the phone, use the photo. Proofread against the printed hours. A typo locked into a reference pack will be reproduced faithfully on every later take. Photoreal rows give letter-shaped noise that collapses when paused. That is the wrong meter for a night name.

Hours are a title card, not Veo type

Hours, "sold out," tonight's event — those change. They are not a generate. Add a title card to a video is add_video_captions used on purpose: a centered line, a background block, a headline that reads as an intro rather than a caption. Same billing family as any overlay render. It is a static composite, not a motion-graphics pack.

Lock the opening shot and the crop. Then card. A title on a take you will regen is a chapter of a draft. A card that holds the whole clip is a persistent headline. If you only wanted three seconds, time it, or trim the keeper opening to three seconds, then card. Safe zone follows the crop. Card after 9:16 if 9:16 is the destination.

A persistent "Thu 7pm open play" badge is also a single text overlay — top / center / bottom — if you do not need the centered block. Timed lines (name, then hours, then a CTA) are timestamped overlays. Neither is a generate. Veo 3.1 is native audio, official 4K tier, 4 / 6 / 8 second clips. Keep it for a short cinematic hold of the room when the chalkboard is already correct in the pixels, or when the plate is clean and the hours will be stamped later. It is not a font engine. Empty fascia, then overlay. Or a photographed board that already spells.

Publisher boxes are a different swarm. Cafes /for is coffee

Board games: the box still plus overlay rules, not Veo inventing cards is the publisher job: I2V the box, overlay player count, do not print a second deck. Do not twin it. A cafe does not own that cover. The cafe plate is the table. The publisher plate is the box. Keep them in separate files.

Cafes is nearby and still not this listing. That page is morning ritual: pour-over, window seat, a barista calling a regular, 9:16, four posts a week, Reels and TikTok. Useful if you also sell coffee. It is not open-play hours on a felt table. Do not rewrite that /for as a game-night generator.

Hold the room. Ideogram the night if the board does not exist yet. Title-card the hours after picture lock. If a guest would not recognise the table with the sound off, you made a publisher film in the wrong swarm.

    FAQ

The chalkboard special changes every week. Is that Ideogram?

The permanent cafe mark can be Ideogram, or a photo of the fascia. Weekly open-play nights are overlay or a title card — one authored line, or timed lines if they change inside the clip. Do not regenerate the awning to change Thursday.

Can I I2V a photo of a real setup instead of the empty table?

Yes, if that setup is your room and you are not implying extra games you do not have on the shelf. Overlay only the claims the photo does not already carry. Do not generate extra boxes into the margins.

Should I generate a host explaining the rules of a published game?

No. That is a publisher explainer you do not own, and a talking head you do not need. Prefer the table plate, hours as a title card, chalkboard as Ideogram or a photo. Do not pay a presenter generate to typeset someone else's deck.

Is this the same as /for/cafes?

No. That page is the morning ritual and the pour. This page is the open table plus hours. Do not rewrite the cafe audience as a game-night pack, and do not replace the table with a publisher box film.
