A cohort does not need a new film every Monday. It needs the same recipe on a clock: same cast, same cuts, a fresh plot for this week's lesson. Opening Kling 3 Omni and storyboarding six shots of "this week's module" is a new bumper that happens to mention class. The week is a cadence on a saved workflow. It is not a new Omni board.
The week is a clock on a recipe
Run a recurring video series is schedule_workflow on a saved scene workflow. Point the agent at a recipe that already has scenes and reference assets. Tell it the cadence in plain English — "every Monday at 9am," "three times a week." It converts that into a schedule. On each run it writes a fresh plot around the same characters, style, and assets, generates the full video, and — if you asked — auto-posts with a written caption.
Set it once. It writes a new version every time it runs. That mint is the bill. Each run is priced like a full video-workflow generation, charged when that run actually generates — not when you set the clock. Using it to re-post last Tuesday's MP4 is the wrong job. Re-posting a finished file is the social scheduler. Mixing those two is how you either burn a generate you did not mean, or publish the same lesson until someone notices.
You need the recipe first. Save and reuse a video workflow is the keep. Scheduling is the clock. Saving a draft is free. Each actual run is the video-workflow price.
Online course creators already have the conversion object: one real lesson excerpt, not a testimonial reel. Three posts a week on that page is a cadence, not a reason to restage the teacher. Clip the teaching. Put the weekly wrapper on a saved graph.
Omni is a new film every Monday
Kling 3 Omni multi-shot is not Movie Mode. Omni takes one prompt and returns up to six distinct shots inside a single generation, usually a 15-second file. You still pay for seconds. Identities have to survive inside that generate. There is no scene planner, no chain off last week's last frame, no series premise, no auto-post. You get one bumper with cuts in it.
Useful for a three-beat gag. Not useful for a twelve-week cohort that has to look like week one. Omni restages. Restaging is drift. A cohort's teacher, board, and palette already live in the asset map. Do not throw them away because Omni can cut.
Movie Mode is a third object: chained scenes from a brief, 30–60+ seconds, VO as pipeline steps. A weekly lesson clip is not that film.
What the series actually spends
schedule_workflow writes a new episode. The tool wants a workflow_id. Cadence becomes a 5-field UTC cron. Optional series premise, auto-post, accounts, caption prompt. active: false stops it. Prefer set_workflow_mode when the language is auto versus manual.
Cron is UTC. "9am" without a timezone is accepted as UTC. Daylight saving does not live on the job. Wrong hour for a week is still a week of generations if the workflow ran. Estimate the per-run video-workflow cost before you enable auto-post. A daily series is a daily bill.
A slideshow carousel is a different capability. Schedule a recurring slideshow series is not this job. Course clips that are video stay on schedule_workflow.
Once the format works — hook, lesson beat, CTA — keep the cuts. Change the module.
