Ghost/membership: series format, captions, no fake experts

    Recipe plus captions.

Recipe plus captions. Ghost and membership video is a locked format you can run every week, with words on screen, without inventing a specialist who does not exist. The expert is the structure. A generated "Dr. somebody" is a different product.

Ghost publishers lose weeks recasting a host. The feed did not need a new face. It needed the same beats, a new slot, and captions that work when the episode autoplays muted.

A series is a recipe, not a new expert

Series formats are eight structures with a fixed spine and one variable. Decide the beats, the cast, the set and the captions once. The only weekly decision is what goes in the slot.

That is the ghost job. You are filling a recipe, not discovering a persona:

    • This or That — two options, one verdict, 12–20 seconds. Carried by the split frame, not a face.
    • Customer Question of the Week — one real inbound question, answer first, then the exception. Inventing the question is the kill switch.
    • Overheard — two locked characters, two lines. Reuse saved assets. Regenerating the cast every episode is how the series forgets itself.

Run a recurring video series is the agent verb once the workflow exists: point it at a saved graph, give a cadence, get a fresh plot on the same characters and assets. Each run is priced like a full workflow generate, charged when it actually generates — not when you set the schedule.

If you cannot name the beats without naming a new expert, you do not have a series yet. Pick one of the eight. Clone the bound workflow. Swap the asset map.

    Captions are the membership habit

Members watch muted. Speech-to-captions is add captions to a video: auto-transcribed, styled, burned in. 21 BASIC presets at 1×, 9 DYNAMIC at 2×. 165 language codes. It transcribes what was spoken. It does not translate.

Lock one preset with the format. Changing the caption skin every episode is how a series stops looking like a series.

Captions are not a host. If nobody spoke, overlay the pairing, the question card, the verdict — typed lines with text overlay or timed text overlays. Write which of those jobs you run into the recipe once.

Fake experts are a different product

A synthetic presenter delivering your claims, never pretending to be a customer or a credentialed specialist, is ordinary ad creative. A generated "nutritionist" who does not exist, speaking first-person expertise into a membership, is a fabricated witness. AI testimonials and the fake review rule is the adjacent line: dramatize a real quote; do not invent the person.

Use a locked character the brand already owns, or no face at all. Put real questions and real pairings in the variable slot. Caption after the take. Disclose a synthetic host as a host.

If the membership bought access to a named human, that human has to be in the file or clearly not. Generating a cousin of their face is a likeness problem, not a series format.

    FAQ

Can I run a membership series without a presenter?

Yes. Several of the eight formats are carried by layout — This or That, Then vs Now, Budget vs Premium — not by a mouth. A voiceover plus captions is enough. A generated expert is optional and often the wrong spend.

Does the recurring-series agent invent a new host each run?

No. It reuses the characters, style, and assets on the saved workflow and writes a fresh plot. If you put a fake expert in the asset map, you will get that expert forever. Put a format in the asset map instead.

Are captions a substitute for a talking expert?

No. Captions are burned-in type. They do not create authority. They make the episode readable muted. Pair them with a recipe that does not require a fabricated specialist.

What if the inbox is empty and I need a Q&A episode?

Skip the week. Customer Question of the Week treats an empty inbox as information, not a scripting problem. Invented questions are how the format dies, and invented experts are how the membership stops believing the rest.
