Deodorant: Ideogram the stick name before any glide
Scent and aluminum line are Ideogram or overlay, never Veo. Twist motion only after the barrel still is locked.
Scent and aluminum line are Ideogram or overlay, never Veo. Twist motion only after the barrel still is locked.
A deodorant listing that ships is a barrel a shopper can pause: the scent word, the aluminum or aluminum-free line, the twist mechanism you actually tooled. Those strings are claims. A video model that “letters the stick while it glides” will invent a cousin fragrance and a chemistry you cannot print. Type-lock the barrel first. Then, and only then, ask for twist.
Letter the scent and the aluminum line first
The SKU is the barrel graphic. Cedar / 0% aluminum. Sport / aluminum chlorohydrate. Those words are why a buyer picks this stick over the one next to it. They are not atmosphere.
Ideogram V4 is the lettering still: text-to-image, 6 credits, posters and logos with accurate text listed. Quote the scent string and the aluminum line you will actually print. Proof it like a press check. If a character is wrong, you spent six credits, not a video bill, and you regenerate the still — not the motion.
Do not send “a deodorant stick rotating on marble, sandalwood, aluminum-free” to a video row and hope the barrel typesets itself. Veo 3.1 is native audio, 4 / 6 / 8 seconds, 4K, 40 credits. It is a cinematic clip, not a typesetter. Glyphs it adds are invented claims. A 4K misspelled scent is still a misspelled scent.
If you already photographed the barrel you will ship, keep that file. Ideogram is for the graphic when the ad is the label. It is not a license to restage a competitor’s colourway.
Add a text overlay is the other honest door when the photograph is already true and you only need one authored badge — the scent, the aluminum line, a CTA — burned for the whole clip, top / center / bottom. Overlay does not transcribe. It does not mint a legal INCI list. Type the string from the carton. Offers change. The barrel should not.
Twist only after that barrel is approved
The glide is physics on a known object: the barrel turning, the product rising, a short hold on the face. It is not a new stick. If the letters are still a guess, every second of twist is a cousin SKU in motion.
AI image to video is the still-to-motion job. Upload the approved barrel. Frame one is that file. Prompt only the camera and the mechanism: slow twist, product rising in the cup, no new label, no new scent word. Re-describing “fresh alpine deodorant on a bathroom shelf” is how the model rebuilds the graphic.
Seedance 2.5 is the family for that hold: four to thirty seconds, 720p, 47 credits, native audio. Image-to-video is the still-to-motion job on that family; the published URL is the family page. Never a folded Seedance I2V slug. Native audio is on — write the mix (a quiet twist, no VO) or you get a soundtrack you did not choose. A silent brief still gets sound.
A last frame is useful when you have a second approved still of the same barrel — closed cap to raised product. Two fragrance SKUs is a morph. Do not interpolate from “sport” to “lavender” and call the middle a variant pack.
Do not start at thirty seconds because the row can. Prove the twist on a short take. If the wordmark holds, then extend. Identity first. Duration later.
Never Veo the stick name
Video models redraw letterforms every frame. Fine type is the first thing they lose. Aluminum-free that becomes aluminum for six frames is a listing miss. A generated “clinical strength” line is a claim legal did not write.
Keep Veo (and any other text-to-video row) off the barrel graphic. If you need a cinematic bathroom, that is a different generate on a different still, and it still cannot letter the SKU. The AI product video generator is the wider product door when the stick has to sit in a new set and the lockup must not: reference the approved barrel; do not prompt a new one.
Do not generate a talking dermatologist “explaining aluminum.” That is a health persona on a CPG listing. The stick is the product. The mouth is not.
One still, then one twist
Order that survives a pause:
- Approve the barrel — photographed carton or Ideogram graphic at 6 credits — with scent and aluminum line readable at 100%.
- Overlay any line the still is missing. Do not ask the video model to typeset it.
- I2V the approved file on Seedance 2.5 via the image-to-video tool. Prompt twist, not a new fragrance.
- Pause. If the letters would not pass the listing, the clip will not pass the aisle.
The test: freeze the first frame. Can a buyer read the scent and the aluminum line you actually sell? If not, you do not have a deodorant ad. You have a glide of a cousin stick. Type-lock. Then twist.
FAQ
Can Veo letter the barrel if I upload the stick photo?
Do not treat Veo as a typesetter. It will redraw the scent and the aluminum line. Upload the approved still for motion only after the letters are already true, or burn them as overlay. Ideogram is the 6-credit lettering row when the graphic does not exist yet.
Why Seedance for the twist instead of a talking-head row?
Because the product is a barrel turning, not a mouth. Seedance 2.5 via image-to-video is 4–30 seconds, 720p, 47 credits, native audio on the locked still. A presenter row will talk over a stick it invented.
Do I Ideogram every flavour, or overlay the name?
If the barrel art changes by scent, Ideogram (or photograph) each lockup. If the barrel is the same and only the flavour word changes, overlay the word you typed. Do not generate a new stick to swap cedar for sport.
Can I prompt “aluminum-free” into the twist so the claim appears mid-glide?
No. That is typesetting inside motion. The line is either in the still or in overlay. A model-written chemistry word is a claim you cannot point at a carton for.
