    Engravers: first-last blank to marked

Two photos of the same object.

Two photos of the same object. Frame A is the blank: flask, tag, tumbler, no mark. Frame B is the same piece after the laser, same stand, same light, mark complete. The video interpolates those stills. It is not a generated flask, and it is not a prompt that "adds an engraving."

Create a first-and-last-frame transition is the named agent job. Two photos in. One clip that opens on the first and lands on the second. The agent's own note is the constraint: this needs two reference photos, not one. That is a different capability from "turn a photo into a video."

    Blank frame, marked frame

Shoot both stills yourself. Same camera height, distance, and white balance. The object does not move between A and B except for the mark. If B is a different flask, interpolation morphs the metal, not the engraving. If B is a beauty-lit hero and A is a bench shot, the model spends the clip changing the room.

The mark has to exist in B. Do not hand the model a blank and a text prompt of the monogram. Fine lettering is the first thing a generate loses, and the only defect a custom buyer will notice. Laser the sample. Photograph it. Then interpolate.

    Interpolation is the job

First-last is a catalog family, not a vibe. The agent routes to models that take both frames — Veo and Kling first-last rows among them. FLUX.3 first-last interpolates with native audio, 5–20 seconds, 720p / 1080p. Veo first-last is 4 / 6 / 8 seconds with native audio, up to 4K. Seedance 2.5 image-to-video can take a second image as the closing frame and hold a still up to 30 seconds at 720p.

Pick the row by how long the mark needs to happen and whether you want machine sound in the native mix. A text-to-video prompt that says "morph" is not a last-frame contract. Inspect the landing frame at 100%. If the serif drifted, rerun. Do not retouch a wrong monogram and call it engraved.

When the product generator is the other job

AI product video is reference-to-video: two or three clean angles of the real object, held while scene and camera move. That is how you put the already-marked flask on a mountain or in a studio you do not rent.

It is not how you create the mark. Reference-to-video preserves shape, colour, seam. It will invent lighting. It will not honestly typeset a custom line the laser has not cut. Use it after B exists, with B and a couple of other angles as the reference set. Describe the scene, not the engraving.

Seasonal reskins belong here: same marked product, new table. First-last belongs on the bench: blank to marked, one stand, one light.

What the motion is not allowed to rewrite

    • The type. A wrong name at the last frame makes the clip worthless.
    • The object. A cousin tumbler is not your SKU.
    • The bench, if the ad is "this machine, this shop."
    • A person holding the piece unless you have a grant.

The test: pause on the last frame and read the mark. If you would pack that physical piece, interpolation did its job. If not, you generated a flask. Two photos of the same object. Run the agent job.

    FAQ

Can I use one photo of the blank and prompt the monogram?

No. That is a generate of the mark, not a first-last. The last frame has to be a photograph of the marked object. Prompting type is how you ship a misspelled name in metal that never existed.

Which model should I pick for a ten-second bench clip?

FLUX.3 first-last lists 5–20 seconds with native audio. Seedance 2.5 I2V can close on a second still for longer holds at 720p. Veo first-last is the 4 / 6 / 8 second cinematic window. Name the duration before you name the brand.

When do I use the product video generator instead?

When the mark already exists and the brief is a new scene around the real piece. Two or three angles of the marked object, then environment and camera. Not blank-to-marked.

The interpolation warped the logo on the way through. Is that usable?

Not as a product ad. The middle can be motion; the landing cannot be a different logo. Rerun, or cut the miss and hold B as a still. Do not ship a warped monogram because the metal "looked premium" at 3 seconds.
