The catalog: fast image generation with high-quality outputs and efficient processing. 1 credit. Discounted. Marked fast. Text-to-image. No audio. No duration. No max-output-resolution chip. Aspects from 21:9 through 9:21, including 16:9, 3:2, 4:3, 5:4, 1:1, 4:5, 3:4, 2:3, 9:16. That is a pack of stills you can kill in review for a credit each. It is not a 10-second product turn.

Flux Schnell exists so the video model never has to invent the bottle.

    One credit, then freeze

Schnell is the efficiency pass on Flux's roster. Natural-language prompts, composition, color, mood; for photographic looks, name lens, aperture, film stock. That is the family tip. It is still a still. There is no motion to specify.

Use the wide aspect list. If the eventual I2V row inherits crop from the image — many do — the Schnell frame is the video frame. Generate 9:16 here if the cut is 9:16. Do not ask a 1:1 still to become a story later.

The text-to-image tool is the door. The cheapest AI image model ranking is where a 1-credit discounted row belongs in a budget conversation. Best AI image generator is the quality shelf around it. Schnell is the fast, 1-credit member, not the whole Flux family.

Reject in Slack. Reroll at 1 credit. When the pack is approved at 100%, then open image to video.

Fast is for the pack, not the movie

is_fast is true. That is why people try to "just see it moving." Resist. Motion hides a bad label for a heartbeat and then publishes it for the whole clip. A Schnell still is reviewable. A video generate of an unapproved pack is a credit burn on a different content type.

Do not treat Schnell as a storyboard that already includes time. There is no duration enum. If the brief is "the can rotates 180°," lock the can here, then pick an I2V or first-last-frame row. If the brief is "the can looks like this," you may already be done.

Flux distilled siblings are not a negative-prompt machine. Write what you want in the positive prompt. "No extra fingers" as a paragraph of exclusions is weaker than a clean subject description plus a reroll at 1 credit.

    Animate only the keeper

A useful rule: the first video second you buy must point at a Schnell (or other stills) file someone already said yes to. If it points at a prompt, you skipped the stills row. Schnell's whole job is to make that skip look foolish: 1 credit versus a video rate.

When the still is close, edit the still. When the still is wrong, reroll Schnell. When the still is right, stop generating stills and spend motion on that file only.

    FAQ

Is Flux Schnell a video model with a 1-credit preview?

No. Content type is image. One credit buys a still. Motion is a later row on a later bill.

    Why lock the aspect here?

Because many image-to-video models inherit aspect from the source image. A 1:1 Schnell still becomes a 1:1 clip. Set 9:16 or 16:9 on this card if that is the delivery.

Can I use Schnell to A/B ten pack looks?

Yes. That is what 1-credit discounted fast generation is for. A/B the stills. Do not A/B ten video generates of unapproved labels.

    Does Schnell output 4K?

No max-output-resolution is listed on this card. Do not promise 4K from Schnell. If the delivery is print, budget an upscale or a different stills row after the look is approved.
