Seedream 5 Pro for packaging type

Packaging type is 14-language lettering on a dense pack. Seedream 5 Pro is the stills row. Motion is later, and not this job.

Packaging type is the strings a printer would lock: flavour, net weight, claims, a language panel, a barcode you can still check. That is a document that happens to wrap a product. Seedream 5.0 Pro is ByteDance’s flagship text-to-image row for that document: deep-thinking prompt understanding, native text rendering in 14 languages, dense layouts and structured designs, 7 credits, category text-to-image only. Audio is null. It does not move. Use it to letter the pack. Do not use it as a beauty engine, and do not ask a video model to typeset a dieline.

A nearby post already covers “layout still, then image-to-video.” This page is only the type contract: quote every string you would print, proof the glyphs, pick Seedream because the pack is dense and often not English.

    The pack is a document

If a designer would open a layout tool, you are not in a cinematic generate. Hierarchy, legal lines, a window, a flavour flash, a language switch. Seedream 5.0 Pro’s listed strengths — typography, multilingual text, dense layouts — map onto those nouns. Photoreal stills rows will give you a pretty carton with cousin spelling. Video rows will crawl the cousin while the camera turns.

Content type is image. There is no duration list. There is no native mix. 7 credits is a flat stills call. Comparing that to a per-second video figure is how people talk themselves into “just generating the turning pack.” They then have no board a designer can mark up, and the flavour name is different in second three.

The door is text to image. Write the pack as a layout brief: panel count, reading order, exact strings, what is not a claim. Cap the claims. A front panel can carry a name, a flavour, a weight. It cannot carry a full nutrition table you will certify. Past that density, generate the structure and composite real type for the legal block.

Seedream is not your hero photographer. If the physical carton already exists, photograph it. Seedream is for boards that do not exist yet — mockups, flavourways, a second language, a dense claims panel. Photographing a real SKU and then “fixing” the type in a video prompt is the expensive cousin of this row.

Quote every string you would print

Unquoted claims get paraphrased. “A healthy granola pack, 12 oz, chocolate” will letter a slogan you cannot legal. Quote:

    • the front reads "OAT HAUL"
    • flavour line "DARK CACAO"
    • net weight "340 g"
    • the exact claim you will actually print, or omit the claim

Then describe type as a brief: condensed sans for the name, smaller for the weight, a colour panel for the flavour flash. Name the substrate (matte pouch, tin, glass) so the type sits on an object, not in a vacuum. Name the language. Fourteen-language lettering is the reason this row is on the shelf; it still needs the string in the language you mean.

Proof at 100 percent, like a press check:

    1. Spelling and diacritics. A missing accent is a different word.
    2. Numbers. 340 g versus 34.0 g versus 3.40 g.
    3. Hierarchy. Name louder than flavour louder than a supporting line.
    4. Survival at the size the ad will show. If the weight only exists when you zoom, the pack does not carry a weight.

A wrong character is a different SKU. Regenerating the whole carton to fix one line is how the other panels move. If the structure is right and one region is wrong, an edit-image row (or Seedream’s edit sibling, if that is the job you are in) points at the region. This generate card is for when there is no board yet.

Do not put licensed brand wordmarks in the prompt and hope. Composite the real mark. The generate is not a font file.

14 languages is the reason to open this row

English-only short display type has other specialists. Ideogram V4 is 6 credits, posters and logos. Recraft 4.1 is 4 credits, style-controlled graphics. GPT Image 2 is 4 credits, 4K, instruction-following scenes. Open Seedream 5.0 Pro when:

    • The pack is not English, or is bilingual, and the non-English line must actually read.
    • The front is a dense layout — several panels, a grid, a comparison flash — not a three-word stamp.
    • The type has to sit on a physical object (foil, glass, embroidery, a chalk board) as part of a structured design, not as a poster floating in space.

Fourteen languages is a catalog claim, not a promise that every script will survive a nutrition table. Proof the language you shipped. If the glyphs fail, composite real type for that panel and keep Seedream for the rest of the board.

Localisation is a new still per language, quoted, proofed, 7 credits each. Do not animate English and “patch Spanish in the video.” Motion is not a typesetter. Do not prompt the same English board with “now in Japanese” as a suffix and skip the read-aloud. The Japanese string is the brief.

Dense infographics are a cousin job on the same SKU — stats, comparison boards — already covered elsewhere. Packaging type is narrower: the strings that would go to a printer for a SKU. Do not fill the carton with a six-stat carousel. That is a different board.

Composite real legal type when you must

Nutrition tables, ingredient lists, recycling marks, barcodes you need to scan, warning lines. Seedream can structure a panel. It should not be the source of truth for anything you would certify. Generate the window. Drop in real type. The 7-credit still is then a comp, which is honest.

    What not to do:

    • Ask Veo or Seedance to letter the flavour while the pack turns. Type will drift. You will not know if you have a layout bug or a motion bug.
    • Ask Seedream to invent a barcode that must scan. It will draw barcode-shaped texture.
    • Ask Seedream to match a licensed brand font by naming the foundry. Composite the font.
    • Treat 7 credits as a reason to skip the press check. The cheap miss is still a miss on every flavourway you clone from it.

After the type holds, motion is optional and separate. A table turn is an image-to-video job on a keeper still. The prompt is camera, not a rewrite of the ingredients. If you would not send the still to a printer, you do not have an I2V input. This page stops at the printer test. The sequence of “then which video row” is a different article.

Article 50 is usually not the pack problem. A generated person holding the pack is. Do not invent a customer on the carton. Letter the SKU.

When the strings read, you have packaging type. Sign up and run Seedream 5.0 Pro as a document, not as a product film.

    FAQ

Can I skip Seedream if I already photographed the carton?

Yes. If the physical pack is the contract, photograph it. Seedream is for boards that do not exist yet — mockups, flavourways, a second language — not a mandatory step in front of a printed SKU.

Why not Ideogram for the flavour line?

Ideogram V4 is the short poster-and-logo specialist at 6 credits. Use it for a three-word stamp. Use Seedream 5.0 Pro when the pack is dense, structured, or multilingual. Quote the string either way. Proof either way.

Will Seedream letter a full nutrition table I can ship?

Treat dense legal blocks as composite. Seedream can hold a structured panel. It is not a certifying typesetter. Put real type in the table if a regulator will read it.
