Self-storage ads are unit-door stills and captions, not cinematic Veo

The door number is the product. Ideogram for the sign; I2V for the roll-up.

The door number is the product. A renter is not buying fog in a corridor. They are buying 10x10, climate or not, the roll-up they will stand in front of on Saturday. Veo 3.1 will give you a cinematic eight-second hallway with native audio and a 4K tier. That is a trailer. It is not a unit.

Keep the stills of your doors. Put the number in the pixels. Animate the roll-up. Burn the offer. That is the ad.

The door number is the SKU

Self-storage demand is a size-and-access question. The frame that answers it is a closed or half-open door with a readable unit number, a door type a mover can recognise, and a caption that says what fits. Inventing a prettier hallway does not answer "will the sofa go in." It answers "does this look like a movie about storage."

Do not generate a facility and present it as yours. A customer who books a unit that does not look like the ad has a legitimate complaint. Photograph the actual corridor, the actual roll-up, the actual number plate. The still is the contract. Motion is allowed only after the still is true.

The number on that plate is lettering. Most photoreal models will give you a door-shaped texture with a word-shaped smear. That is not a unit ID.

    Ideogram for the sign

Ideogram V4 is the catalog row for words in the frame: 6 credits, text rendering, posters and logos listed. Quote the string. "B-214" and "10x10" are the brief, not "a storage door with a number." Case, alignment, how many lines. Proof at 100%. A wrong digit is a different unit.

If the plate is already on the door in a photo you took, do not regenerate the lockup. Keep the photograph. Ideogram is for the graphic you do not have yet — a size card, an end card, a "first month" stamp that has to read at thumbnail size. Overlay legal lines in the editor. Do not ask a poster engine for "admin fee applies, new tenants only, select sizes."

A cinematic Veo take will not hold a unit number for four seconds. Video models are a bad typesetter. Generate the sign as a still. Then move the door.

    I2V for the roll-up

Image-to-video starts from the frame you already own. Frame one is the photograph. The prompt describes only the motion: the roll-up lifting, a slow push to the number, a hold on the open bay. Do not re-describe the facility. If you find yourself writing "a climate-controlled corridor with dramatic god-rays," you have left the still and gone back to Veo.

Duration is a dial on the I2V row, not a reason to switch to a cinematic text-to-video model. A three-second door move plus a caption is an ad. An eight-second invented interior is a mood board you will still have to caption.

    Captions carry the offer

Muted autoplay is how these clips get watched — in a kitchen, next to a partner, with the sound off. The size, the access fact, and the promo terms belong on screen. Speech in the take is optional. The overlay is not.

Type the conditions. "First month free" is a claim with material limits. Put them next to the claim in text a phone can actually show. A model asked to paint "new tenants only" onto a Veo corridor will eventually write something adjacent to that. Keep the wording in an editor you can correct without regenerating the door.

    FAQ

Why not just run Veo 3.1 on "cinematic self-storage interior"?

Because Veo 3.1 is a 4 / 6 / 8 second cinematic clip with native audio. It will invent a hallway. It will not keep your unit number, your door hardware, or your facility. The renter is buying a numbered bay you actually have.

Do I still need Ideogram if the number is already in the photo?

No. Keep the photo. Ideogram is for type that is not in the file yet. Animate the real door with image-to-video. Do not pay a lettering model to redraw a plate you already shot.

    Can I generate the roll-up if I only have a closed-door still?

Yes, as motion on that still — a lift, a push-in, a hold. Do not generate a different interior behind the door and sell it as the unit. The still is the product. The motion has to remain that product.

Where do the promo lines go if they will not fit on the door?

Off the generate. Burn or overlay them after the take. A door number is a short string Ideogram can hold. A full offer with conditions is an editor job, not a prompt.
