Stucco thumbnails must come from the locked wall
Pull the thumbnail from the locked wall clip; a fresh T2V cover is a different house.
Generate a video thumbnail after the texture still is signed off. A fresh text-to-video cover is a different house.
Stucco work is a wall someone already approved: lace, dash, sand, the colour on this elevation. The click still has to be a frame of that wall. Inventing a prettier house for the poster is how a homeowner pauses on a texture you did not spray. Sign the still. Animate that. Extract the thumb from the keeper. Do not generate a second property to "get a better cover."
The texture still is the contract
A stucco quote is not a cinematic suburb. It is a finish on a specific elevation: the window return, the control joint, the colour the owner signed. Text-to-video will invent a stock Mediterranean wall, a generic lace pattern, a house that does not sit on that lot. That is a different job and a different address.
Photograph the locked wall. Even light. Texture readable at pause. Crop the crew truck if it is in frame; do not prompt it out and hope the model rebuilds the sill. Image-to-video keeps your upload as frame one. Prompt camera only: a slow push across the lace, a slight raking light that is already in the photograph, a hold on the joint. Re-describing the house is how a second house appears.
Seedance 2.5 is the still-to-motion family for that hold: four to thirty seconds, 720p, native audio, 47 credits on the snapshot. Identity of the wall matters more than a 4K invention of a neighbour's elevation. Optional last frame only when you have a second approved still of the same wall — brown coat to finish coat. Two different houses is a morph.
Approve the still before you buy seconds. If the texture is muddy in the jpeg, it is muddy for thirty seconds. Shoot again. Do not ask the video row to invent a better dash.
A T2V cover is a different house
Platforms ask for a thumb. The cheap instinct is to prompt "stucco home exterior, golden hour, contractor brand" on a text-to-video row and grab frame three. That file has no locked wall. The model picks an average house. Average is not the elevation on the work order.
A designed graphic — big type, a fake before/after — is a different tool after you know the video is the video. Generate a video thumbnail does not design that graphic. It pulls an existing frame. Mixing those on a draft is how you ship a poster of a take that will not exist.
Do not thumbnail a scratch I2V either. A regen has a different best frame. The click still is a child of the keeper. If you would not post the clip yet, you do not have a thumb yet.
Extract one timestamp, after crop
Generate a video thumbnail is extract_video_frames at a timestamp you name, frame_count set to 1, a usable image URL back. Same tool as turning a video into still photos, narrower intent. Source resolution caps quality. A soft phone plate becomes a soft poster. Upscale only after this still is the still.
Order, and nothing else:
- Sign off the texture still.
- I2V that file. Lock the cut, including trim and aspect.
- Watch once for the frame that reads as a wall — joint, lace, colour.
- Extract that timestamp. Do not grab 0:03 because a form suggested it.
Ask the agent for estimate_cost if the source is a very long recording. The extraction is a lightweight job. It is not a generate of a new scene. A title card on a miss is a poster of a card you will reword; that waits too.
Platforms crop the thumb. A 16:9 wall can lose the joint in 1:1. Crop the keeper to the destination, then pick the frame.
Nearby /for/contractors is not this wall
Contractors is the general-contractor page: process transparency, demo-day, what is behind the walls, a final walkthrough. Two posts a week. 9:16. Facebook and Reels. Film ideas there are framing time-lapses and on-site problem/fix. That is a renovation story. It is not a stucco texture plate.
A stucco shop that copies the GC playbook — invented demo, a talking estimator, a generated interior — has left the finish for a house they did not build. A GC that I2Vs a stock stucco jpeg and thumbs it as last Tuesday's elevation has used the wrong still the other way.
This page is only the locked wall. Overlay a city or a CTA on the keeper if the muted feed needs type. Do not generate the crew as proof they were on site.
The test is rude. Pause the poster. Is that the elevation on the work order? Yes: you extracted. No: you generated a different house.
FAQ
Can I thumbnail a text-to-video stucco house so the post looks finished?
You can. You will get a still of a property you did not spray. When the locked-wall clip lands, the texture at 0:03 is different. Extract from the file you will post.
Is generate-video-thumbnail the same as designing a custom cover?
No. It pulls an actual frame (extract_video_frames, one timestamp). A designed graphic is a later image job, and only after the wall clip is the clip. Do not mix those on a draft.
Should I extract five frames and pick later?
That is the wider harvest, turn video into still photos. For a thumb, set frame_count to 1 on the keeper. Pulling a set from a miss is five posters of a take you will replace.
Why not regenerate the wall at a higher resolution just for the thumb?
Thumbnail quality is capped by the source you extract from. A new text-to-video "hero house" is a different elevation. Sign the still, animate that, extract. Chase sharpness on the locked plate, not on an invented lot.
