Towels: pour/water is Vidu; weave is Seedance
Split texture vs identity.
Split texture vs identity. A towel ad is usually one of those two jobs, not both. Pour and water are physics: soak, drip, the sound of cloth taking a stream. Weave is the SKU: pile, hem, the dobby border, a jacquard mark that has to stay the mill's. Asking one image-to-video generate to be a wet splash and a readable hem is how you get a cousin terry and a lockup that will not survive a pause.
Vidu Q3 Image to Video is the pour row. Seedance 2.5 Image to Video is the weave row. Both require an image. Both are image-to-video. They are not interchangeable just because the bathroom is the same.
Water is physics; weave is the SKU
A pour still is liquid on cloth: stream, darkening pile, bath already in place. The job is motion generation — flow, soak, a short hold. If the border is a postage stamp in the splash, no I2V row will make it a product shot.
A weave still is the SKU: pile direction, colourway, the stitched edge you sell. Camera around that textile. Water is optional atmosphere. If the pour smears the logo, you asked the identity row to crush the mark.
Crop the soak as a soak. Crop the hem so the mark fills the frame. Do not interpolate from a wet wad to a folded stack and call the middle "our towel."
Vidu Q3 soaks; Seedance I2V holds the hem
Vidu Q3 requires an image, lists native audio, and tops out at 1080p. Durations are only 5s, 10s, and 15s. Catalog figure 16 credits; the row is marked discounted. Features named: image-to-video, motion generation, high fidelity. No aspect-ratio list on this slug — crop to 9:16 or 16:9 before upload. Write drip, absorb, or quiet into the 5s prompt; a silent brief can still come back with a bed. Five seconds is the shortest legal Q3 clip. If the soak fails there, you fix the still. Vidu Q3: the still is the contract is the length card.
Seedance 2.5 I2V is the identity pass: four to thirty seconds, 720p ceiling, native audio, optional last frame from folded stack to three-quarter of the border. Forty-seven credits listed. Features: first frame, last frame, long form, audio sync. One continuous pass holds a hem. Four short stitches around terry is how the pile drifts. Seedance I2V is still the still-to-motion job is the router.
1080p on Vidu is not a reason to send the hem there "for resolution." Resolution is delivery. Identity is Seedance. Soak physics is Vidu. Prompt camera and water only. The stills already named the fibre.
Crop twice, generate twice
- Soak plate. Tight on cloth and stream. Approve the still. Run Vidu Q3 at 5s. Only go to 10s or 15s if the pour is actually that long on a clock.
- Weave plate. Crop so the hem and pile fill the frame. Approve the still. Run Seedance 2.5 I2V at a length you would ship — a slow pull, a fold that stays in the same fibre.
- Cut. Water for the hook. Weave for the SKU. Captions after, not inside either prompt.
Do not first-last a wet still to a folded still of a different colourway. That is a morph. First-last as the product-turn model is for a towel that remains the towel.
Pause both files. If the stream is the pour you photographed and the hem is the towel you sell, cut them. If the pile grew a second stripe, you used one still for two jobs. Go back to the plates.
FAQ
Can Vidu Q3 do an 8-second soak?
Not on this ladder. Durations are 5s, 10s, and 15s. Write the pour to five seconds, or buy ten and cut. If you needed 8s as a native length, that is a different image-to-video row.
Why not Seedance for the water too?
You can animate a soak still on Seedance. You will spend a 4–30s identity endpoint on liquid, at a 720p ceiling, while the row's job is holding a hem. Vidu Q3 is the motion-generation, 1080p, 5 / 10 / 15s pour card. Keep Seedance for the weave plate.
Will Vidu invent the border if I crop tight on the splash?
It will animate whatever is in the still. A tiny hem in the corner is not a product shot. Crop the pour as a pour. Shoot a second still for the weave. Two rows.
Does either row stay silent if I omit sound?
Catalog audio is true on both. A silent brief can still come back with a bed. Write quiet, or plan to duck. Do not discover a soundtrack at export and then blame the towel.
