Pens: click diegetic vs identity of the clip logo
Vidu click or Seedance logo. Pick.
Vidu click or Seedance logo. Pick.
A pen ad is two jobs pretending to be one generate. The click is diegetic sound: the mechanism, the snap, the beat the ASMR buyer came for. The clip logo is identity: the mark on the barrel has to survive motion. Vidu Q3 Image to Video will write a mix. Seedance 2.5 Image to Video will hold a still. Asking either row to be both is how you get a wrong barrel with a great click, or a perfect logo with a score that is not a click.
The click is audio
Vidu Q3 Image to Video is image-to-video. An image is required. Audio is on. Durations are only 5, 10, or 15 seconds. Max output is 1080p (360p / 540p / 720p / 1080p listed). The catalog lists 16 credits and marks the row discounted. There is no aspect-ratio menu — crop the still first.
Native audio means a silent prompt still gets a soundtrack. Write the click: the snap on frame two, a quiet desk, no music bed if you need the mechanism to be the mix. A 5-second take is the shortest legal clip on this slug. If the click fails in five seconds you do not have a cheaper 3-second retry here. You have another 5, or you fix the still.
High fidelity in the feature list is a plate claim, not a licence to skip the photo. If the still's barrel is already wrong, every second of click is waste. This remains image-to-video, not lipsync.
The logo is the still
Seedance 2.5 Image to Video animates a locked still into a continuous clip at up to 720p, four to thirty seconds, native audio, optional last frame. The job is identity: the mark, the clip colour, the metal the buyer will recognise on the product page.
The published family page is Seedance 2.5. Use it when a drifted logo is a failed take. Thirty seconds in one pass is how you do not stitch three Vidu 5-second clips and watch the wordmark melt at the cut.
720p is the ceiling on that endpoint. 1080p click plates are Vidu's ceiling. Resolution is a delivery choice. The logo is the I2V choice.
Do not prompt "our clip logo, exact wordmark" into a text-to-video row and hope. Make the still. Then decide whether this generate is for the click or for the mark.
One generate, one job
Pick before you spend:
- The ad is the snap. Lock a still you would print. Run Vidu Q3 I2V at 5s. Write the click into the prompt. Crop 9:16 or 16:9 on the still. Do not start at 15s 1080p because the row is discounted.
- The ad is the branded barrel. Lock the logo still. Run Seedance I2V for the length you will actually ship. Add a last frame only if the shot must land on a second approved angle.
- You need both. Two generates. Hold the logo on Seedance. Get the click on Vidu (or generate a snap as a sound effect and lay it). Stitch. One model will not honestly own both constraints.
Defaulting every SKU to last week's model either scrambles the clip logo or ships a silent barrel. Name the job, then the row.
FAQ
Can Vidu Q3 hold my clip logo if the still is sharp?
It can try. The still is still the contract, and Q3's job on this site is 5 / 10 / 15s motion with native audio at up to 1080p. If the failure mode you cannot live with is a drifted wordmark over 15–30 seconds, you are on Seedance I2V.
Can Seedance invent the click if I write it in the prompt?
It has native audio, so you should specify the mix. It is still the identity row. If the click is the product and the logo is already locked in print, Vidu's 5-second diegetic take is the cheaper honest test.
Why not one 15-second Vidu clip for everything?
Because 15 seconds is triple the shortest Q3 take, with a soundtrack attached, and discounted is not free. A cheap 15-second miss is still 15 seconds of a wrong barrel. Prove the click at 5s. Prove the logo on the identity row.
Do I need a last frame for a pen turntable?
Only when the destination must match a second approved still — clip closed to clip open, barrel to nib. A single hero still with a small camera move is the usual Seedance I2V job. Vidu Q3 on this slug does not advertise a last-frame contract the way Seedance I2V does. Do not fake a turntable by hoping.
