    6 apps for a before-after ad

CapCut, Canva, Photoroom, Versely, Pika, and Higgsfield make before-after ads. Pick by wipe, brand frame, cutout, snap, morph, or effect.

A before-after ad is two states and a cut you can trust. Six apps will build that file. CapCut is the wipe, the split, and the captions. Canva is the branded two-frame post. Photoroom is the clean still of each state. Versely is a named snap transition from one photo, or a short motion pass on the after plate. Pika is the morph and the gag. Higgsfield is the feed effect. This page is that list. It is not "best transformation video 2026." It is not a Versely template dump.

If the after is a result a customer did not get, you do not have an ad. You have a problem. Generate the transition. Do not generate the outcome.

What a before-after ad has to prove

Before-after only works if both frames are true.

The before is the real starting state. Dirty sneakers, stained mug, empty wall, the SKU in the old packaging. Photograph it. A generated "sad before" is a claim.

The after is the real ending state. The same sneakers cleaned, the same wall painted, the same SKU in the new box. Photograph it. A generated glow is not a testimonial.

The middle is the only part you are allowed to invent. A wipe, a snap, a split, a morph, a 6-second motion that carries the eye from A to B. That is what these six apps are for.

Meta can label generative ads (read 20 September 2026) under About this ad. A before-after that implies a medical or body result you did not measure is still a claim. The transition app does not save you.

On Versely, a two-up split you already own can also be finished on-device with the before-after split helper. That tool does not generate a result. It frames two files you brought.

    The six apps

    1. CapCut. Start here if you have both stills (or a clip of each state) and you need the classic ad: split, slider, hard cut, or a timed wipe, then captions. Duplicate the timeline. Before on the left or on the first beat. After on the right or on the second. Auto captions for the claim ("same shoes, one clean"). CapCut is free at a usable level for a weekly Reel. The AI video generator will also animate a still if one of the states needs a slight push-in. A June 2026 CapCut product-photo workflow is the motion side: one still, several angles, then edit. CapCut's 16 September 2026 Seedance 2.5 tutorial is launch-prep for a longer pass, not a seat guarantee. You stay because the before-after is an edit. You leave when you only had one photo and you wanted a named snap, or when the stills needed a cutout Photoroom already did better.

    2. Canva. Start here if the before-after has to sit on a brand template. Two frames, a divider, a line of type you can still edit, 4:5 and 9:16 from the same file. Independent reads of Canva's 2026 AI table (The Rundown, 29 August 2026; Moda, 9 September 2026) put Pro at about $144 a year with a shared monthly allowance: up to 2,000 Standard, 200 Premium, or 20 Ultra AI uses. Image-to-video is Premium. High-quality video is Ultra. For a static two-up, you do not need Ultra. For a short motion on the after frame, you might, and that bucket is shared with Magic Write. Canva is the shop poster. It is not Pika's morph. It is not CapCut's timeline. If the after photo is not on the brand kit, drop the MP4 onto the template and keep the type live.

    3. Photoroom. Open Photoroom when either state is a product still with a bad room behind it. A before-after that compares two dirty counters is a comparison of counters. Photoroom's pricing (read 20 September 2026) puts cutout and retouch on Pro. Video Generator is not on Pro. Max includes up to 50 video generations. Ultra includes up to 150. The listing still is Pro. The clip is Max, or Pro plus CapCut, or Pro plus Versely. Do not generate a fake "after" background and call it the customer's bathroom. Cut the SKU. Keep the field honest. Then hand the two stills to CapCut or Canva.

    4. Versely. Versely sits here because one of the common before-after files is not a split. It is a snap from one photo into a second state. Finger Snap is that named transition: one photo in (user_image_url), about 18 credits discounted (35 full). It is a person-in, trend-out clip. It is the wrong one-tap if the before is a stained grout tile and the after is a chemical result. For the after plate in motion (steam, pour, a lid, a glow you already photographed), Hailuo 2.3 Fast on image-to-video is 12 credits at 6s discounted (23 full) and 23 at 10s (45 full). If the before-after is a talking UGC-style "I used this for a week," that is the UGC video generator over real stills, not a generated face claiming a generated result. The wider picker is the AI video generator when the middle is a published motion row rather than a template. Versely is not CapCut. It will not wipe two stills on a timeline. It is the app when the transition is a one-tap, or the after plate needs a cheap orbit, and you still want a model row later on the same bill.

    5. Pika. Open Pika when the middle is supposed to be a morph, a swap, or a physics gag, not a documentary wipe. Pika's pricing page (read 19 September 2026, yearly) lists Free at $0 with no monthly credit pool (packs only, no commercial license), Starter at $10 / $8 with 900 credits a month (still no commercial license), Creator at $35 / $28 with 3,150 credits and a commercial license, Fancy at $95 / $76 with 8,550 credits, priority queue, and commercial use. Plan credits do not roll over. Top-up packs do. Pika 2.5, Pikaffects, Pikascenes, and Pikaswaps are the product. A stained grout tile that has to stay a photograph is the wrong still. A character that needs to snap from dusty to chrome is the right one. If you need a commercial license, Starter is not the plan. Read that table before you ship the morph as an ad.

    6. Higgsfield. Open Higgsfield when the before-after is supposed to look like a named feed effect, not a split screen. Higgsfield's own app is Soul, Popcorn, and a stack of motion looks. Price the vendor seat on Higgsfield's page the day you buy. Do not treat a 19-credit catalog still as a video plan. If the listing reviewer needs two photographs of the unit, Higgsfield is the wrong first click. If the Reel is allowed to look like an effect (the after explodes out of the before, a pop, a snap zoom), it is the right one. An effect is still not a clinical result. Caption the claim as a style, or do not make the claim.

How to pick without a fake result

Shoot both states, or you do not have a before-after. Everything else is the middle.

    • Two stills, classic wipe or split: CapCut. Or the on-device before-after split if you only needed a two-up file.
    • Two stills, brand template: Canva.
    • Either still is a messy product photo: Photoroom, then CapCut or Canva.
    • One selfie, named snap transition: Versely Finger Snap.
    • After plate needs a short orbit: Versely Hailuo.
    • Morph, swap, gag: Pika, and check the commercial-license line.
    • Named feed effect: Higgsfield.

Two apps is a shop. Photoroom plus CapCut covers most product before-afters. Canva plus CapCut covers brand plus timeline. Versely plus CapCut covers a snap or an orbit plus captions. Six apps is a transformation you will not finish.

Do not generate a thinner waist, a clearer skin result, or a "week later" face. Those are claims. The middle can be a snap. The after cannot be a wish.

    After both frames exist

Keep the camera height matched. A before shot from above and an after shot from the hip is a different room, not a result.

Burn the words as captions. "Day 1" and "Day 14" are copy you might have to defend. Overlay them so you can take them down. Do not bake them into a generated still.

Mute still watches. If you generated the middle in Pika or Higgsfield, finish captions in CapCut. If you generated in CapCut, stay.

When the middle is a Finger Snap or a short after-plate orbit, sign up and run the template or Hailuo. When the middle is a wipe of two photos you took, stay in CapCut. The list is six apps. The ad is two true frames.

    FAQ

Can I generate the after from the before in Pika and call it a result?

You can generate a prettier after. You cannot call it the customer's result. Pika is a morph look. Photoroom is a cutout. CapCut is a wipe. None of those are evidence.

Why is Versely in the middle, not first?

Because this page is the job. Finger Snap is a real one-photo transition. Hailuo is a cheap after-plate move. CapCut is still the wipe most shops mean. If you needed a named snap from a selfie, Versely is the row. If you needed a split of two packshots, it is not.

Is a slider in Canva enough for Meta?

For a static 4:5, often. For Reels, you usually want motion or a timed cut. Canva can hold the brand frame either way. CapCut is the cheaper place to time the wipe if you already edit there.
