Fabric softener: the glug is Vidu; the cap logo is Seedance
Diegetic pour versus bottle identity — do not ask one model for both.
Diegetic pour versus identity of the bottle. Do not ask one model for both.
A fabric-softener ad is usually one of those two jobs, not both. The glug is physics: viscose ribbon, the neck wave, the sound of liquid hitting the cap well. The cap logo is the SKU: colourway, lockup, the dosing marks on the cup. Asking one image-to-video generate to be a wet pour and a readable badge is how you get a cousin bottle and a mark that will not survive a pause.
Vidu Q3 Image to Video is the glug row. Seedance 2.5 is the cap-logo family. Both jobs start from a still. They are not interchangeable because the laundry room is the same.
The pour and the badge are different crops
A pour still is liquid in motion: stream, meniscus, the cup already in place. Identity of the bottle is not in that crop, and it should not be. If the cap logo is a postage stamp in the corner of a glug close-up, no I2V row will make it a product shot.
A bottle still is hardware: cap, neck, front of pack, the colour you actually sell. Camera around that SKU. Liquid is optional atmosphere. If the pour smears the lockup, you asked the identity row to crush the mark.
Crop the glug as a glug. Crop the cap so the logo fills the frame. Do not interpolate from a wet cup to a hero bottle of a different scent and call the middle "our SKU." Two stills. Two generates. Comp them if the cut needs both.
Image-to-video is the door for both plates. The AI product video generator is the reference-lock door when the bottle must hold in a scene you will not shoot — same object, new counter. Zoom the label to 100% before you keep either take.
Vidu Q3 soaks; Seedance holds the cap
Vidu Q3 Image to Video requires an image, lists native audio, and tops out at 1080p. Durations are only 5s, 10s, and 15s. Catalog figure 16 credits; the row is marked discounted. Features named on the snapshot: image-to-video, motion generation. No continuous slider. Write drip, glug, or quiet into the 5s prompt; a silent brief can still come back with a bed. Five seconds is the shortest legal Q3 clip. If the pour fails there, you fix the still, not the duration.
Seedance 2.5 is the still-to-motion family: four to thirty seconds, 720p, native audio, 47 credits on the snapshot. Image-to-video on that family is the identity job; the published URL is this family page. Optional last frame from a three-quarter of the cap to a front-of-pack still of the same bottle. One continuous pass holds a lockup. Four short stitches around a glug is how the type drifts.
1080p on Vidu is not a reason to send the cap there "for resolution." Resolution is delivery. Identity is Seedance. Pour physics is Vidu. Prompt camera and liquid only. The stills already named the objects.
Two stills, two generates
- Glug plate. Tight on neck, stream, and cup. Approve the still. Run Vidu Q3 at 5s. Only go to 10s or 15s if the pour is actually that long on a clock.
- Cap plate. Crop so the logo and dosing marks fill the frame. Approve the still. Run Seedance 2.5 at a length you would ship — a slow orbit, a cap twist that stays this thread.
- Cut. Glug for the hook. Cap for the SKU. Type after, not inside either prompt.
Do not first-last a wet still to a dry hero of a different colourway. That is a morph of the scent. Do not send the bottle still to Vidu because you liked the ribbon. Q3 will move the badge too. Do not send the pour still to Seedance for thirty seconds of fabric softener. A long identity pass on a cup close-up is how the liquid becomes a second formula.
Native audio is on for both rows. Write quiet if you will score later. Neither row is lipsync. A constructed laundry "expert" talking scent chemistry is a different job and the wrong mouth.
Pause both files before you cut
If the stream is the pour you photographed and the cap is the bottle you sell, cut them. If the lockup grew a second serif, you used one still for two jobs. Go back to the plates.
A laundry aisle will notice the cap before they notice your grade. The glug can be pretty. The badge has to be true. Split the models so each one only has one of those problems.
FAQ
Can Vidu Q3 do an 8-second glug?
Not on this ladder. Durations are 5s, 10s, and 15s. Write the pour to five seconds, or buy ten and cut. If you needed 8s as a native length, that is a different image-to-video row.
Why not Seedance for the pour too?
You can animate a glug still on Seedance. You will spend a 4–30s identity endpoint on liquid, at a 720p ceiling, while the family's job is holding a cap. Vidu Q3 is the motion-generation, 1080p, 5 / 10 / 15s pour card. Keep Seedance for the bottle plate.
Will Vidu invent the logo if I crop tight on the stream?
It will animate whatever is in the still. A tiny badge in the corner is not a product shot. Crop the pour as a pour. Shoot a second still for the cap. Two rows.
Does either row stay silent if I omit sound?
Catalog audio is true on both. A silent brief can still come back with a bed. Write quiet, or plan to duck. Do not discover a soundtrack at export and then blame the bottle.
