Batch UGC hooks from one brief
Generate silent Turbo openings, pick keepers, run a native-audio hero, then burn one caption family.
Batch UGC hooks as a pipeline, not as six unrelated prompts. One brief, one SKU still, six silent openings on Kling 3 Turbo (12 credits, silent), pick keepers, run a native-audio hero on the winner, then burn one caption family. You are testing openings. You are not buying six finished ads on the expensive row.
This is the batching order. It is not the hook-pack object (six planned lines, one charge, Vidu Q3). If you wanted that object, that is a different job.
One brief, one still, six openings on paper
Write the brief once. The openings must disagree or you are not batching, you are duplicating.
Brief must name:
- The SKU and the claim you will actually make.
- The audience and one objection.
- Words you will not claim.
- Destination: 9:16 for TikTok / Reels / Shorts.
Then write six opening jobs, not six adjectives:
- Proof first (the result, then the product).
- Objection first (the fail from last Tuesday).
- Price or offer first.
- Sensory / demo first (pour, click, texture).
- Pattern interrupt (not a talking head, if the still allows it).
- Callout (who this is not for).
If two lines are the same job with a swapped synonym, delete one and write a real sixth.
Lock one product still. The pack does not change across the six. Hands and faces may change; the SKU does not. Crop the still to 9:16. If the hook is a face with no pack, the still still sits in the brief for the body you will attach later.
UGC ads see roughly 4× CTR and about 50% lower CPC, and 86% of brands say UGC lifts performance (Kapwing, 2026; Billo). Those numbers assume the first seconds feel like a peer. Six cousins of a brand slogan will not tell you which opening is the peer. Distinctness is the test.
The UGC video generator can launch a body. This page is how you batch the openings without paying native-audio prices six times.
Generate silent Turbo, then pick keepers
Kling 3 Turbo text-to-video is the cheap silent row: 12 credits, audio off, 1080p listed, 3–15 seconds. Use it as a sketch pad for motion and blocking. It will not speak. Do not write quoted dialogue into Turbo and wait for a mouth.
Procedure:
- Set 9:16. Duration 3–5 seconds. A hook is an opening, not a 15-second ad.
- For each of the six jobs, write a prompt that is only that job plus the visual: who is on screen, what they do in three seconds, where the still will later sit if this is a face-only open.
- If the opening must show the pack, I2V from the locked still instead of Turbo T2V. Turbo T2V will invent a cousin bottle. Identity beats cheapness on the SKU. You can still keep Turbo for the four face-only opens.
- Run all six (or the face-only subset) on Turbo. 6 × 12 = 72 credits if you fully T2V the set. That is the point of silent batching: you did not spend 6 × 40 Veo or 6 × 70 Kling O3 Pro to find out opening 2 and 5 are twins.
- Score muted. No captions yet. No VO yet.
- Did the job land in two seconds?
- Is it distinct from the other five?
- Is the still/SKU honest when it appears?
- Would you pause?
- Kill duplicates. Keep two (a primary and a backup), not six “pretty” clips.
Scoring is a table, not a vibe. If you cannot say which job each keeper is, the batch failed and you write new openings. Do not proceed to native audio with six files “because we generated them.”
Silent is correct here because you are not testing the read yet. You are testing the picture that has to work on mute. Native audio on a bad opening is a wasted voice.
Native-audio hero, then one caption family
Take the winning opening’s job (and the still), not necessarily the Turbo pixels. Turbo was a sketch. The hero might be:
- The Turbo clip plus TTS, if the motion is already right and you only need a voice.
- A new generate on a native-audio row that performs the same job: Veo 3.1 (40cr, 4/6/8s, 4K), Seedance 2.5 (47cr, up to 30s, 720p), Kling O3 Pro, etc.
- I2V from the locked still if the keeper was a pack demo.
Procedure:
- Write the exact line the hero will speak. One sentence for a 3–5s open.
- If you keep the Turbo picture: run TTS (Gemini 3.1 Flash TTS is 4 credits, with inline audio tags) and lay it under, or lipsync if you have a mouth.
- If you re-generate with native audio: prompt the quoted line and the same visual job. Do not add beats 2–5 of the ad into the hook generate.
- Approve the hero muted and with sound.
- Burn captions in one family for the whole batch and the body that follows. 21 BASIC looks at 1×; 9 DYNAMIC at 2×. Pick one. Caption styles if you are in Caption Studio’s 45 CSS presets instead. Do not give hook 1 “glass” and hook 2 “plain” and then try to read a test. The caption family is part of the control.
- Place type in the safe area. Same position on every hook so you are testing the line, not the layout.
The body of the ad (proof, CTA) is a second pipeline: still + I2V, or a longer native-audio pass, concatenated after the winning hook. Do not regenerate six full ads. You batched openings so you would not.
If you also run paid: ship two keepers, not one, against the same body. That is the A/B. Six live variants with six caption looks is not an A/B. It is noise.
What not to do in the batch
- Six native-audio heroes first. You will spend the week’s credits learning that four openings were the same job.
- Six T2V packs. Lock the still. I2V the SKU.
- Captioning the Turbo sketches. You will recaption the hero. Type last.
- Changing the SKU mid-batch “to see if the red one pops.” That is a second brief.
- Calling six Turbo clips a hook pack.
create_hook_packis a different object: planned lines, one charge, a fixed renderer. This page is catalog batching you operate by hand.
When the two keepers are captioned and the body is attached, export. Label AI on the destination platform in that platform’s control. The batch does not disclose for you.
If you need a studio seat to run Turbo, the hero row, and the caption family, sign up. Bring the six-job list and the locked still. Do not bring “make it viral.”
FAQ
Why silent Turbo instead of Veo for all six?
Turbo is 12 credits and silent — enough to test muted blocking. Veo 3.1 is 40 credits with native audio. Pay that once on the winning job, not six times on untested openings.
Do I have to throw away the Turbo pixels?
No. If the motion is the keeper, add TTS and captions and ship it. Re-generate on a native-audio or 4K row only when you need the voice baked in, or more resolution than the sketch.
Can each hook use a different caption style?
Not if you want a test. One caption family, one SKU still, six opening jobs. Style is a control. Change it in a later test, not inside this batch.
