Lucy Restyle vs Omni Flash Edit
Lucy Restyle is 1 credit, 720p look change. Omni Flash Edit is 13 credits, conversational edit. Restyle the look; edit the take.
Lucy Restyle is 1 credit, 720p, a look change on footage you already have. Gemini Omni Flash Edit is 13 credits, edit-video, audio false, conversational video-to-video. Restyle the look of the whole file at 1. Edit a local note on the take at 13. Neither is a generate. If the scene does not exist yet, you wanted a different row.
This page is the two edit cards against each other. It is not Lucy Restyle is not a generate, and it is not Omni Video versus Flash Edit.
Two edit-video rows, two contracts
Lucy Restyle: Decart, content type video, category edit-video, 1 credit, max output 720p, audio null, no duration list, image not required on the spec. Description: AI-powered video restyling and transformation.
Gemini Omni Flash Edit: Google, content type video, category edit-video, 13 credits, audio false, no duration chips, no max resolution listed. Description: conversational video editing (video-to-video).
Edit-video means the input is a clip and the output is that clip changed. The blocking is supposed to stay. The product is supposed to stay. You are not asking for a new kitchen.
Write the brief as the change you actually want:
- Lucy: “This clip, cel-shaded.” “This clip, colder grade, night.” “This clip, documentary print.”
- Omni Flash Edit: “This clip, the jacket is red.” “This clip, lose the extra mug.” “This clip, warmer practicals, keep the hands.”
Do not write:
- “A woman walks into a kitchen and opens the can.”
That sentence is AI video generator work. On either of these rows it is an argument with a model that was not asked to invent a woman.
requires_image is false on Lucy and there is no 5s-versus-10s dial because Restyle is not inventing a shot length. The clip is as long as the footage you already have. Flash Edit is the same shape of input: a take, plus a note. Google’s Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash post (27 August 2026) describes video in up to 10s for edit/extend on Google’s surface. Versely does not publish /models/gemini-omni-1-1-flash. Do not invent that slug. The published edit row here is Flash Edit at 13 credits.
LTX 2.3 Retake Video is a third edit card: 10 credits. If you needed a local change — two seconds, the flower is red — Retake is in that neighborhood. This comparison is Lucy versus Omni Flash Edit. Three edit rows. Do not collapse them into “the cheap Google button.”
1 credit at 720p versus 13 credits conversational
One credit is why people click Lucy for jobs it cannot do. Cheap video of what? If the what is a prompt-only 10s take, you wanted a generate. If the what is a locked still that needs to move, you wanted I2V. If the what is a clip whose look is wrong, you wanted Lucy. If the what is a clip whose contents are almost right, you wanted Flash Edit.
Pick Lucy at 1 when:
- The take is locked. The kitchen is the asset. The look is the variable.
- You want a treatment on the whole file: stock, grade, graphic pass, anime, night.
- 720p is an acceptable ceiling for that treatment.
- You are not asking the model to move a mug, recast a jacket, or extend the shot.
Pick Omni Flash Edit at 13 when:
- The take is locked enough that a new generate would drift the identity you already paid for.
- The note is conversational and local: one object, one wardrobe beat, warmth, a distraction to remove.
- You accept audio false. Flash Edit will not write a score or repair a mix as a catalog promise.
- You are willing to pay 13 because a 40-credit Veo retry would recast the room.
Do not pick Lucy because 1 looks like a steal on a job that is “make the label readable.” Restyle will not typeset a SKU. Do not pick Flash Edit because the Google name feels like a generate. Omni Video is the generate card: 9 credits, T2V/I2V/R2V, 4K, 4/6/8/10s, audio null. Flash Edit is not that card.
720p is Lucy’s ceiling. A restyle will not promote a 720p treatment into a 4K master. If the brief is a 4K plate, Lucy is the wrong ceiling. Flash Edit does not list a max resolution on the published card; do not invent 4K because Omni Video lists 4K. Upscale after if you must; that is a different family.
Audio is null on Lucy and false on Flash Edit. Neither row is native audio. Plan the mix after. If the source is silent, the output is a silent edit. If the source has a track, do not assume the catalog guarantees audio out.
Procedure: lock picture, then pick the change
- Lock the take. Treatment or a local note on a clip you will replace is 1 or 13 credits of noise.
- Write one sentence that names the change, not the scene. If the sentence has a new location, you wanted a generate.
- If the sentence is a look for the whole file, open Lucy Restyle (1 credit, 720p). Attach the clip. Generate. Watch whether the product survived. If the restyle ate the label, you do not have a pack shot. Cut back to the untreated plate or restyle a shot that is not the SKU hold.
- If the sentence is a local correction, open Omni Flash Edit (13 credits). Attach the clip. State the note. Generate. Watch whether the rest of the blocking held. If the edit recast the hands, you spent 13 to buy a new take you did not ask for. Retry the note, or generate.
- Mix and caption after the picture is the picture you will ship. Add captions to video on the keeper, not on a restyle you will throw away.
The AI video editor is the honest door. The generator list will also show Lucy and Omni. That does not make either a sample button. No source, no edit.
Photoreal people in a restyled or locally edited scene are still synthetic when the audience would take the location as real. EU Article 50 applies from 2 August 2026. One credit does not exempt the file. Neither does thirteen.
The test
List the last ten clips you sent back for “make it look better.”
If eight of them needed a grade, a stock, a graphic world, Lucy at 1 is the default. Flash Edit at 13 is the exception for the take where one object was wrong.
If four of them needed a jacket, a mug, a distraction gone, Flash Edit is the row for those four. Lucy will wash the whole file and call it a look. That is not a local fix.
Do not migrate off Lucy because Omni is Google. Do not migrate off Flash Edit because 1 credit exists. Honesty about whether the look is wrong or the take is wrong is the whole decision.
If you need a seat to attach the clip and run the matching edit, sign up. Bring the file. Do not bring only the word “restyle.”
FAQ
Is Lucy the cheap Omni Flash Edit?
No. Lucy is a 1-credit 720p treatment of the whole clip. Flash Edit is a 13-credit conversational edit. Different change. Different sticker. One is not a discount on the other.
Do I lose Omni Video if I use Flash Edit?
No. Omni Video is the generate row (9cr, 4K, 4–10s). Flash Edit is the edit row (13cr). You keep the generate card. You open the edit card when the take already exists.
Can either row invent a new shot from a prompt?
Not as the job. Both are edit-video. A new kitchen is a generate. Restyle and Flash Edit change footage you already have.
