    Pixverse Effects vs Transition

Pixverse Effects and Transition share one price card: from 12 credits, 32 at 1080p, for 5s / 8s / 10s. Effects hangs an effect; Transition interpolates.

Pixverse Effects and Pixverse Transition share one price card: from 12 credits at 360p, 32 at 1080p, and 12 to 64 for a full job depending on resolution, audio and clip length. Both are edit-video, up to 1080p, 5s / 8s / 10s, audio null, image required. They are not the same job. Effects adds a special effect. Transition creates a smooth interpolation. Pick by the verb, not by the brand tile.

This is not an industrial still-lock twin of either row. Both cards require an image. That is the gate. This page is the fork: named effect versus interpolate. It is also not Pixverse V6 text-to-video. V6 starts at 10 credits, a sentence, 5s / 8s, 1080p, audio null. Effects and Transition are finish rows. They do not invent the scene from prose.

Effects description: add special effects to videos with Pixverse. Transition description: create smooth transitions between video clips. Both published gates set requires_image true. Do not feed a paragraph. Do not treat “videos” in the copy as a reason to skip the still the catalog asks for. Read the gate.

Audio is null on both. Neither row is a talking presenter. Neither row is a soundtrack. Plan captions or a VO if the cut needs words. The price card buys the effect pass or the interpolate pass, not a mix.

Effects is a named pass, not a story

Use Effects when the plate already exists and the brief is a named treatment: a glint, a particle hang, a stylized hit on a pack you already approved. The still is frame one. The duration is how long the effect is allowed to play. 5s is the short hit. 8s is the default. 10s is the long hang. There is no 6s, no 4s, no 15s on this card.

Do not write a three-beat narrative into Effects and hope the model storyboards it. That is a generate. Pixverse V6 Text to Video is the low-priced sentence in this family (from 10). Pixverse V4 is the older sentence, from 12 credits, also audio null, 5s / 8s. Twelve credits on V4 invents a clip. Twelve credits on Effects hangs an effect. Same floor, different category.

Null audio means do not brief in-model speech. An effect pass that “should whoosh” still needs a whoosh you generate or lay. Suno Sounds V6 is 2 credits a call if the hit is a bed. Effects will not score the hit because the prompt mentioned sparkle.

    When Effects is the pick:

    • The composition is locked. You need a treatment, not a new camera.
    • 5, 8, or 10 seconds is enough for the treatment to read.
    • 1080p is the ceiling you will ship, or you will upscale later on a different row.
    • You can name the effect. If you cannot name it, you wanted a generate.

When Effects is the wrong pick:

    • You need a closed pack to become an open pack as a geometric interpolate. That is Transition.
    • You need a talking line. Null is not a microphone.
    • You have only a sentence. The gate wants an image.

Transition interpolates; it does not restage

Use Transition when the job is in-between: closed to open, empty to filled, before to after, on plates you already trust. The catalog description talks about clips. The published gate still requires an image. Bring the frames that define the ends. Prompt the camera only as far as it serves the interpolate. Do not re-letter the label in prose.

Same menu as Effects: 5s, 8s, 10s, up to 1080p, from 12 credits, audio null. Length is how long the interpolate is allowed to run. A 5s closed-to-open is a snap. A 10s closed-to-open is a hold. Cutting a 10s interpolate down is fine. Paying 10s because 8s felt cheap is not a strategy.

Transition is not VEO First Last Frame. Veo’s first-last card is image-to-video, native audio true, 4K, 4 / 6 / 8 seconds, from 64 credits. Different family, different microphone, different ceiling. Transition is Pixverse edit-video up to 1080p with audio null. If you needed 4K dialogue between two frames, you are on Veo, not on Transition.

Transition is not Flux 3 First Last Frame to Video either. Flux’s first-last starts at 34 credits, native audio true, 5–20 seconds. That is a generate between stills with a soundtrack. Pixverse Transition is an edit-video interpolate up to 1080p, from 12 credits (32 at 1080p). Pay for it when this family’s transition look is the file. Do not pay for it because you wanted Flux’s interpolate and clicked the wrong tile.

    When Transition is the pick:

    • You have the before and the after as pictures you would print.
    • The motion in the middle should be interpolation, not a new performance.
    • Mute plus a caption (or a VO you lay) is acceptable.

When Transition is the wrong pick:

    • You wanted a sparkle pass on a single hero still. That is Effects.
    • You wanted a new scene from a sentence. That is V6 (from 10), or another T2V row.
    • You needed native audio. Null is the card.

Same price card, same lengths, different verb

Do not run both by default. Two passes on the same pack is a stack you should be able to name: Transition to open the cap, then Effects for the glint. If you cannot name that, pick one.

Do not treat Effects or Transition as the Pixverse “default generate.” V6 is from 10 credits for a silent sentence. Effects and Transition are finish passes with a 5/8/10 menu, 32 credits at 1080p. Using them as a first look at an unapproved SKU is how credits become a mood board.

Resolution tops out at 1080p on both. There is no 4K token. ByteDance Upscaler Video starts at 3 credits and goes to 4K if delivery needs the ceiling after picture lock. Upscale after the effect or the interpolate, not before. Sharpening a draft effect is how one pass becomes ten.

The AI video generator will show both tiles. The UGC video generator will not make the verb obvious. Read the slug. Effects versus Transition is a production choice, not a quality ranking of Pixverse against itself.

Article 50 still applies if the still is a photoreal person. An effect pass does not exempt a generated face. Label at first exposure for EU audiences since 2 August 2026. The Article 50 disclosure template is the copy. YouTube’s 27 May 2026 overlay on photoreal Shorts does not add a soundtrack to a null card.

Sora leftovers that were mute product morphs can land on Transition if you have the end frames and 1080p is enough. Sora’s API shut on 24 September 2026 (OpenAI deprecations). Sora 2 was native audio at 720p. These two Pixverse rows are null at up to 1080p. Map the flag. This page is not a Sora essay.

What you do after either pass

Burn a caption if the feed is mute-first. The AI caption generator is the typesetting. Burned-in captions are the short-form object. Neither Effects nor Transition typesets.

If the brief needed a line, you picked the wrong pair. A talking Pixverse sentence is Pixverse 5.6 text-to-video from 28 credits with native audio — a different slug, a different flag. Do not hang an effect on a silent interpolate and call it a presenter.

The price card is the same on both: 12 credits at 360p and 540p, 16 at 720p, 32 at 1080p. Versely bills in credits. Do not split it by 5, 8, or 10 and invent a per-second effects rate. The bill is the pass.

Run the verb you mean in Versely.

    FAQ

Are Effects and Transition the same row?

No. Same price card, same lengths, same 1080p ceiling, same null audio, same image gate. Effects is a named treatment. Transition is an interpolate. Read the slug.

Do these rows have native audio?

The published cards leave audio null. Do not brief in-model speech. Plan captions or a VO.

Can I use them instead of Pixverse V6?

Only if you already have the plate and the job is an effect or an interpolate. V6 is the silent sentence, from 10 credits. These are edit-video passes, from 12.
