Layout still is 5 Pro. Motion is 2.5 I2V. A pack shot that has to read — panels, claims, a barcode you can still check — is an image job. Animating it is a later verb. Doing both in one video prompt is how you get a pretty carton that misspells the flavour.

Seedream 5.0 Pro is ByteDance's flagship text-to-image row in the catalog: dense layouts, typography, multilingual text, 7 credits flat, 2K quality listed. Seedream 5.0 Pro Edit when the layout is the job is the generate-versus-edit fork. This page is the packaging sequence: lock the board, then move it.

    The dieline is a document

Packaging is a document that happens to wrap a product. Hierarchy, legal lines, a window, a flavour flash. If a designer would open a layout tool, you are not in a cinematic generate.

Generate on Seedream 5.0 Pro when there is no board yet. Write the pack as a layout brief: panel count, exact strings, reading order. Cap the claims. Pick a structure. Stop.

Edit when the structure is right and one region is wrong — a swapped icon, a drifted number, a flavour name. Regenerating the whole carton to fix one line is how the other panels move.

Do not send "cinematic bottle on marble, include the label" to a video model and hope the type holds. Type is the job. Get a still you would print. Then buy motion.

Motion is a still you already trust

Seedance 2.5 lists an image-to-video row: animate a single still into a native clip at up to 720p, 4 through 30 seconds, optional last frame, native audio, image required. That is the second half of this pipeline. Frame one is the Seedream keeper (or a photograph of the real pack). The prompt is camera — table turn, push to the window, light across the foil — not a rewrite of the ingredients.

Image-to-video is the door for that verb. First-and-last-frame is how you land on a second approved composition. The last frame must also be a layout you would ship. A closing still the model invented is a second carton.

720p is the Seedance 2.5 ceiling on this family. Fine print is already the weakest point of any generate. Keep the pack large. Check every take at full size. If the still fails a label check, the clip fails louder because it moves.

    What not to mix

    You want You run
New structure, new claims Seedream 5.0 Pro generate
Same grid, one string changed Seedream edit, then I2V from the new still
The carton turns on a surface Seedance 2.5 I2V from the locked still
Licensed brand type Composite real type; the generate is not a font file

A photoreal hero with no layout is a different still job. Seedream is not your beauty engine. Photograph the physical pack and skip the layout model if the carton already exists. Do not "fix" a melted label by prompting Seedance harder. Motion cannot typeset.

    Print it, then play it

Would you send the still to a printer? If no, you do not have an I2V input. If yes, match duration to the move: 4s to test a table turn, 30s only for a hold you already approved. Native audio is foil and glass, not a voiceover of the claims. Claims stay in the layout or get burned on after.

Lock art, then shoot. Layout still is 5 Pro. Motion is 2.5 I2V.

    FAQ

Can I skip Seedream and animate a photo of the real carton?

Yes. If the physical pack is the contract, photograph it and go straight to image-to-video. Seedream is for boards that do not exist yet — mockups, flavourways, dense claims — not a mandatory step in front of a printed SKU.

Why not generate the turning carton in one video prompt?

Because the type will drift while the camera moves. You will not know whether you have a layout bug or a motion bug. Separate the verbs. Seven credits on a still is cheaper than a 30-second miss with a wrong flavour name.

Does Seedance I2V keep small nutrition type?

It holds the still it is given. It does not add a new typesetting pass. If the nutrition panel is already mush in the Seedream frame, motion will not rescue it. Redesign the still, or composite real type, then animate.

Should localisation happen before or after I2V?

Before. Edit the strings on the layout still, lock a keeper per language, then I2V each keeper. Animating English and hoping to patch Spanish in the video is a new generate wearing an edit's name.
