Pet food: the bag still; do not generate a customer's pet
SKU I2V. Private animals can still be a likeness problem if they're a known pet. Prefer stock you own.

A kibble ad dies when the bag in motion is not the bag on the shelf, or when the "happy retriever" is a neighbour's dog the model almost recognised. The SKU is a still. Animate that. Do not sample a customer's pet into a campaign. Seedance 2.5 Image to Video is the bag job. AI video for pet product brands is the audience page: real-pet proof beats studio abstraction — real, as in filmed with a grant, not generated from a review photo.
Animate the bag you would print
If you would not print the still on a carton, do not buy motion. Front panel, colourway, feeding guide, the weight you actually sell. Even light. Label readable. That frame is the contract.
Seedance 2.5 I2V animates a single still into a continuous clip at up to 720p, four to thirty seconds, native audio with the picture. Image required. Forty-seven credits listed. Features: image-to-video, first frame, last frame, long form, audio sync. A second image sets the closing frame when the move has a destination — face-on to the back-of-pack table.
Lock the still before you spend on motion. Text-to-video will re-decide the bag every take. Labels and flavour names are the expensive failure. Prompt motion only: slow orbit, kibble settling if the kibble is already in the still, no invented claim the legal team did not approve. 720p is the ceiling. A talking founder holding "your" bag is a different row.
A known pet is a replica, not kibble texture
A deepfake of a private person is not a style. A known animal is the same shape of problem: a living referent, no public-figure carve-out, and a feed that will recognise them. "We changed the markings 15%" is not a defence. "It is a vibe of a golden" is how you ship a lookalike of a customer's dog from an unboxing still you scraped.
Do not I2V a customer photo that includes their pet unless the grant covers that photo and generation from it. A standard UGC usage line for the still does not authorise new synthetic performances. A likeness release that covers AI generation is the clause list. Most pet-food brands need to stop generating the animal, not draft a replica clause for it.
Minors in the frame with the pet are a hard stop. Do not generate a child feeding the bag. Do not "age up" a family photo.
Shoot or license; do not sample a customer
Buyers shop on behalf of a specific pet. The honest paths: film a pet you own or hired (replica grant if you will generate later); stock you own; or the bag still with no animal. Empty is honest. Overlay the claim.
The dishonest path is text-to-video "a labrador loving our salmon recipe" seeded from a tagged still. That is their dog. Labelling the clip AI does not create a grant. Personality is not a likeness carve-out.
Pause on the kibble and the face
Run the I2V take. Pause on the front panel. If the flavour line would fail a listing audit, throw the clip away. Do not "fix" it by generating a prettier dog. If a face appeared that was not in the still, throw the file away. First-and-last-frame is for two approved stills, not for "then the pet arrives." Type you wrote is an overlay after picture lock.
FAQ
Can we generate a generic dog so we are not using a customer's pet?
A "generic" photoreal dog with no referent is still a lookalike risk if it reads as a breed-and-marking combo someone will claim. Prefer stock you own or a filmed animal with a grant. The bag does not need a generated face.
Can we I2V a customer unboxing if they commented "love this"?
A comment is not a replica grant. You need a grant that covers the photo and any generation from it, and you should still crop unknown animals and people out. Prefer a bag still you photographed.
Is 720p enough for a PDP loop of the bag?
For feed and most product-page loops, yes. For a 2K plate you will grade, pick a higher-resolution generate and still start from a locked still. Resolution is delivery. Identity is I2V.
Does the pet-brands page mean we should always show an animal?
It means real-pet proof beats a human-model studio shot when you have a real pet and permission. It does not mean generate one. The bag still is always legal to animate. The animal is optional and expensive to get wrong.
