Ocoya's core loop is a content calendar: queue posts, schedule them, keep the cadence going across accounts. Versely's automation tools run a version of that same loop where the CONTENT is generated fresh on every cycle from a saved premise, rather than a calendar that still has to be loaded by hand before each slot goes out.
How a premise turns into a running, auto-posted series follows.
A premise becomes a recurring series
schedule_workflow turns a saved scene workflow into a recurring series: describe the cadence in plain English ("every day at 10am", "Mon/Wed/Fri") and it's converted into a schedule, then on each run a fresh plot is written around the same characters, style and assets rather than repeating the last video. set_workflow_mode switches a saved workflow between 'auto' (runs on that schedule) and 'manual' (triggered by request) without losing the schedule when it's paused.
Same idea, for slideshows and carousels
schedule_slideshow_series runs the equivalent loop for carousel-style content: a recurring premise ("5 coffee tips a day") generates a brand-new slideshow with the caption baked into each image on every tick, rather than one template reused with the text swapped.
Auto-posted, or held for review
Both schedule_workflow and schedule_slideshow_series can auto-post each finished run straight to connected accounts with a written caption, across the same platform roster the rest of Versely's publishing runs on. get_social_accounts confirms what's actually connected before auto-posting gets switched on, so a series doesn't fail silently against an account nobody linked yet.
See what's queued, pause or cancel it
list_slideshow_schedules and list_social_posts show what's currently running or scheduled; a series can be paused (active: false) rather than deleted outright, and cancel_social_post pulls an individual post that shouldn't go out.
How it works
1. Describe the recurring premise
A theme, a format, and the characters or assets it should reuse across every run.
2. Set the cadence in plain English
"Every day at 8am", "three times a week" — converted into a schedule automatically.
3. Each run writes fresh, on-theme content
A new plot or slideshow brief every tick, not the same asset reposted.
4. Auto-post it, or hold it for review
Connect accounts, turn on auto-posting, and check what's scheduled anytime.

Frequently asked questions
How does Versely compare to Ocoya?+
Versely's schedule_workflow and schedule_slideshow_series run a recurring content loop the same way — a premise and a cadence in, a published post out — except the CONTENT is generated fresh on every run rather than filled into a calendar by hand. set_workflow_mode switches a series between auto and manual, and both scheduling tools can auto-post to connected platforms with a written caption.
Does the same video or image repeat on every scheduled run?+
No — each run writes a fresh plot or slideshow brief around the same characters, style and assets, so a daily series doesn't repeat itself.
Can a series be paused instead of deleted?+
Yes — setting active to false pauses the schedule without losing the saved workflow, ready to turn back on later.
How many platforms can a scheduled series auto-post to?+
Up to nine — the same roster Versely posts to everywhere else — checked against connected accounts with get_social_accounts before auto-posting is switched on for a series.
