    A ball-valve listing is a quarter-turn you can inspect: closed is the handle across the pipe axis; open is the handle in-line. Both photographs are the same casting, the same end connections, the same port. Interpolation between those two stills is the ad.

    Frame A is closed; frame B is open

    Photograph the valve where it will be judged — same lens height, same light, same thread or flange pattern in the background. Handle perpendicular to the body. That is the first frame. Rotate the handle ninety degrees on the same unit. Do not swap in a sister SKU with a different port. That is the last frame.

    First-last frame takes those two stills and generates the motion between them. Ordinary image-to-video knows where it begins and improvises the rest. First-last has to land. The arc of the shot is decided by you.

    The two frames have to be connectable. Same body, same lighting family, same camera. A macro of the ball morphing into a wide of a different valve is a warp. If the landing still shows a larger port, you photographed a different valve.

    Prompt the travel, not the objects. Name the mechanism: camera locked; handle rotates ninety degrees; no new flanges. If the endpoints share geometry, the morph reads as a product-turn. If they do not, you get a mushy crossfade.

    Port size is not a prompt

    Full port versus reduced port is a claim. The stills already contain it. A generate that "opens" by growing the bore is a different SKU. Keep the body large in frame. Overlay "full port" after picture lock if the mute feed needs it — type you typed, not Flux glyphs.

    Order: two approved stills of the same body; first-last on Veo or Flux 3; prompt only the handle travel. Reverse that order and you will pay for a cousin valve that changed port size on the way open.

    Can I animate one photo of the closed valve and hope it opens?

    You can. The ending is then the model's guess. A ball-valve ad is the open handle on the same body. Pin that still as the last frame or you are not selling the quarter-turn.
