Wallpaper repeats die if you text-to-video the roll

The pattern is the SKU: Seedance 2.5 I2V from the roll photo; text-to-video invents a different print.

The pattern is the SKU: Seedance 2.5 I2V from the roll photo; T2V invents a different print.

A wallpaper installer does not sell “floral, moody, bedroom.” They sell a named repeat: this motif, this scale, this colourway, this match. The roll photo is the contract. Text-to-video has to invent a print and a room together. It will invent a cousin floral that is not on the invoice. Photograph the roll. Animate that still. Do not prompt a wall.

    The repeat is the SKU

Pattern identity is not a vibe. Drop match, half drop, the motif spacing, the ground colour — those are the product. A homeowner who already ordered the roll will notice if the bird faces the other way or the stripe widens. A generate that “looks like wallpaper” is a different SKU.

Lock the still before you spend on motion is the credit argument. The cheap place to argue about the print is a still: the roll on a table, a hung sample on a board, a full-width take of the match. Then buy seconds. Video credits are a terrible pattern debugger. Retrying “sage botanical mural in a sunlit bedroom” samples another print.

Do not straighten a hand-printed irregularity in the prompt. Do not ask the model to “make the repeat tighter.” That is a different design. If the still is a muddy phone snap of a curled roll, shoot it flat under even light. Image-to-video will animate whatever you gave it, including the curl and the shadow.

A room in the background of the sample photo is allowed if it is that room. Do not prompt the furniture out and hope the model rebuilds the print.

    I2V the roll photo

Image-to-video starts on the file. Frame one is the repeat. The prompt is camera and physics: a slow pan along the match, a gentle unroll, a light rake that does not reprint the motif. Re-describing the pattern in the prompt is how the model starts drawing a second print.

Seedance 2.5 is the still-to-motion family: 4–30 seconds, 720p, 47 credits, native audio. I2V is that job on this family; the published URL is the family page. One continuous pass is how the motif holds at second twenty. Stitching short text-to-video clips along a wall is how the bird changes species.

Native audio is on. Write the mix — paper rustle, a quiet room, or an explicit silent bed — or you will ship a soundtrack you did not score. Do not write a talking decorator into the motion prompt. The roll does not need a mouth. Overlay the collection name after lock if the muted feed needs a string.

720p is the ceiling. For a feed ad of the SKU, that is enough. For a 2K plate of a hung wall you intend to grade, you are on a different delivery row, and you still start from the locked still. Resolution is not a reason to switch to text-to-video.

Iterate at 4s or 5s until the repeat holds. Thirty seconds of a drifted motif is a long, expensive cousin. A last frame is optional: roll on the table as first, hung sample as last, only when both stills are the same print. A last frame of a different colourway is a morph, not an install.

    Text-to-video reprints the wall

Text-to-video has no plate. “Peel-and-stick botanical wallpaper unrolling onto a white bedroom wall” forces the model to decide which botanical. It will pick from the average of every wallpaper clip it has seen. Average is not your SKU. Average is a print that does not exist on that order.

That is the same fork as image-to-video versus text-to-video, except the cost of being wrong is a listing that shows the wrong product. Installers sell adjacency: this wall, this neighbour, this match. The person who ordered the roll will watch the ad.

If you do not have a photo yet, get one. A sample on a board in morning light is enough. Then animate that. The nicer T2V bedroom is the invented print.

Do not prompt “match this SKU” as a sentence instead of an upload. A sentence is not a repeat.

This is not a contractor demo-day

Contractors already own the nearby process job: what is behind the walls, demo-day time-lapse, a problem-and-fix on site. That page is transparency about a build. A wallpaper installer is a pattern SKU. Do not rewrite /for/contractors. Do not hide a generic floral inside a renovation arc. If you also hang paper on a job site, the still of this roll still has to hold before you show the room.

Kitchen and bath remodelers own wet rooms and fixtures. Wallpaper in a powder room is still the repeat, not a faucet film. Name the difference and stay on the roll.

The test: pause on a motif. If it is the SKU, the I2V row did the job. If the room is prettier and the print is wrong, you bought a wall film. Recycle the photo. Do not T2V your way out of a missing still.

    FAQ

Can I prompt “match this roll” in text-to-video instead of uploading it?

No. A sentence is not a repeat. The model will still invent the motif and the room. Upload the roll photo to image-to-video and describe only the camera.

Is 720p enough for a pattern ad?

For feed, yes. Identity of the repeat matters more than a 4K invention of a different print. Chase resolution on the same locked still, not by switching to text-to-video.

Seedance has native audio — should the wallpaper speak?

Write the mix or write silence. A talking roll, or a generated designer prescribing a room, is the wrong object. Overlay the collection name on the keeper if the clip autoplays muted.

Do I need a last frame of the hung wall?

Only when you have a second approved still of the same print and the shot is meant to travel from roll to hung. A single hero still of the repeat, moving, is the usual job. A last frame of a different colourway is a morph.
