What Subtitle captions look like
How the words move
No animation: the whole line sits on a dark box.
When to use Subtitle captions
Classic subtitles in sentence case on a see-through dark box. The easiest style to read for a long time, so use it for interviews, podcast clips and anything over a minute.
How to add Subtitle captions to a video
1. Open Captions
On Versely Web or in the iPhone app, open Captions and upload a video of up to 200 MB, or press Add captions on anything you made in Versely.
2. Check the words
Versely writes down what is said and times every word. Fix a name or a misheard word before anything renders.
3. Pick Subtitle
It is in the On a box group. It plays over your own video; put it at the bottom, middle or top.
4. Export
You get an MP4 with the captions burned in, ready for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Free on videos up to 10 minutes.
Free on the web and on iPhone, one account.
