The rate card people wrongly reach for
This page exists because of one specific and expensive mistake: pricing a localisation project off the lipsync rate card. Lipsync bills per second at 1 to 20 credits, so a three-minute video across ten languages looks, under that arithmetic, like an enormous number. Dubbing does not work that way. It is submitted as a job and billed as a job.
The second assumption worth killing is that some languages cost more than others. They do not. Nothing in the pricing reads the target language — not the rate, not a multiplier, not a surcharge. A language your audience is small in costs exactly what your biggest market costs.
What does change the job is which engine runs it, and the engines differ on capability rather than on a published per-unit rate. Pick the engine for what it does to the video, then check the exact charge with the app's cost estimate before submitting ten of them.

Do rare languages cost more than common ones?+
No. Language is not a pricing dimension on Versely. The charge for a dub is the same whichever target language you select.
Can I work out dubbing cost from the lipsync per-second rates?+
No, and doing so overstates it badly. Lipsync is a per-second render of a face against an audio track, billed at 1 to 20 credits a second. Dubbing is its own job type with its own flat charge. They share neither the meter nor the rate card.
Is dubbing ten languages cheaper as a batch?+
There is no batch discount — ten languages is ten jobs. The saving available is in not dubbing markets you will not publish to.
Which engine should I use?+
The default ElevenLabs engine if the source is long, audio-only, or needs trimming in the same pass. HeyGen if the mouth movements need to match the new language and the video is under eight minutes.
Can I dub a YouTube link?+
No. The source has to be media already hosted on Versely — a prior generation, an upload, or the output of another job.
