Talking-head reaction
One face, one phone, arm's length. The format that works in every room in this collection — and the one with the least to hide behind when the first sentence is weak.
POV hands & product hold
No face, just hands and the thing. The format that puts a product on screen without the clip becoming an advert — and the only one here that needs something in your hands before you can shoot it at all.
Mirror selfie
A second camera position for free — and four things to get right simultaneously. The only shot here that shows your whole body and the room behind you in the same frame.
Why three formats and not six
The library records six shot formats. Three of them are pages and three are not, and the difference is not editorial taste — it is whether the format actually cuts across the collection or is just one room described twice.
A format page is worth publishing when it can tell you something a setting page cannot: where the phone goes, what holds it, what it focuses on, and what has to be in your hands before the shot is possible. That only works if the format appears in several rooms. Talking-head reactions appear in all eight settings. POV product holds appear in six. Mirror shots appear in three. Those are genuinely portable setups, so the rig advice is genuinely reusable.
The three below are not. Each one is concentrated in a single room that already covers it at length — and in two cases, covers it in its opening paragraphs. A page for them would be that room’s page with a different heading and not one clip the reader had not already seen. The ceiling is 50% of a roster from one setting, with a floor of 4 clips, and it is enforced in code rather than by memory.
Not routed — read the setting page instead
- walking vlog — 6 clips, 5 of them (83%) from Outdoor street, which already covers the setup in detail.
- over-shoulder laptop — 4 clips, 4 of them (100%) from Office desk, which already covers the setup in detail.
- tasting-reaction — 3 clips, 2 of them (67%) from Kitchen, which already covers the setup in detail.
These pages describe 39 clips. The library holds 80 in total — the remainder are either in one of the three unrouted formats above, or are premade reaction clips that carry no format tag at all, and all of them appear on the setting pages. 52 clips carry both an emotion and a format tag.
