Higgsfield Genjutsu alternative: Versely Remix, compared

The same job: keep a clip's motion, change who or what is in it. Different limits, starting points and prices.

Use clips you own or have permission to use. Each remix costs credits, shown before you generate.

Higgsfield launched Genjutsu on 1 September 2026 as a way to re-make a clip rather than generate one. You give it one video of 4 to 30 seconds and up to 30 reference images, choose Motion Transfer or Object Swap, and get the result at 480p, 720p or 1080p. A cheaper Genjutsu Lite followed on 19 October. Runs are priced in Higgsfield credits by length and resolution: on 2 November, Higgsfield's own guide listed 105 credits for 15 seconds of Motion Transfer at 720p.

Versely Remix does the same two jobs under the names Swap and Copy the moves, on clips of 4 to 15 seconds. Genjutsu goes further on length and on reference images, and the table below says so. Remix's differences are around the clip: a library of trending reels to start from, links from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and X, your saved avatars and 32 ready-made characters to cast, captions and Auto Post for the finished take, and one credit balance shared with 50+ other models, on the web and in the iPhone app.

Higgsfield Genjutsu vs Versely, side by side

Higgsfield's column comes from its own pages, read on 4 November 2026; its pricing page renders in the browser, so we rendered it, and Segmind's 5 August capture shows the same monthly prices. Versely's column comes from the studio the same day. Credits on the two sides are different currencies.

    Modes
Higgsfield GenjutsuMotion Transfer keeps the motion, camera and timing and rebuilds the scene from your references. Object Swap changes a selected character, outfit, product, location or object and keeps the rest of the shot. Genjutsu Lite applies the change without a mode choice.
VerselySwap changes the person, outfit, product, place or style; everything else stays. Copy the moves has your person or character do the clip's moves; a new place or style is optional.

    Where each one wins

    Where Higgsfield Genjutsu wins

    • Longer sources: one run takes a clip of up to 30 seconds, where Remix stops at 15.
    • More references: up to 30 images per run, against Remix's 8.
    • Free runs on every plan: 5 Genjutsu Lite 1080p runs, plus 3 Genjutsu 720p runs on Pro billed yearly and on Max (2 on Max billed monthly), per Higgsfield's pricing page on 4 November.
    • You already pay for Higgsfield and use its other tools, so the credits are already in that account.

    Where Versely wins

    • It starts from real trending reels, each card showing the reel's length and views, or from a TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or X link.
    • You can cast without a photo shoot: your saved avatars and 32 ready-made characters go straight into the Person slot.
    • Up to 4 takes per run, with the price on the bar before you generate.
    • The take goes straight to Add captions and to Auto Post, which schedules it to up to 9 networks.
    • One credit balance pays for Remix and 50+ other models, on the web and in the iPhone app.

Pick Genjutsu when the source runs past 15 seconds, when you need more than eight reference images, or when your Higgsfield plan already covers the runs. Pick Versely Remix when you start from trending reels or links, cast your own avatars or ready-made characters, and want captions and posting in the same account. The two credit prices do not convert, so compare the quote each app shows for your clip.

A Versely Remix swap, before and after

Made in the studio on 4 November 2026 from a free stock clip. The two play in step.

    Before
    After · Beatrix
Swap: Beatrix, a ready-made character, in place of the woman dancing with the mopPro, 720p, 8 s, 1 take: 323 credits, about 5 minutes. The room, camera, mop and moves are the original's.Original clip: Mixkit (free license)

Object Swap, the Remix way: one slot per change

Remix's Swap mode is the object-swap job. Under What to swap you add a slot for each thing that changes (Person, Outfit, Product, Place, Style or Other) and give it a photo, up to 8 in all. Each slot takes a What in the clip hint, so in a clip with three dancers you can write “the woman on the left” and leave the other two alone.

A Person can come from a photo, one of your saved avatars, or one of the 32 ready-made characters under Another avatar, so you can cast a clip without a photo shoot. A Person swap re-renders the whole person, clothes included; to change only the clothes, add an Outfit and nothing else.

Motion transfer, the Remix way: Copy the moves

Copy the moves gives the clip's choreography to your person or character. The original place, camera and sound stay unless you add a Place or a Style, which makes it the closer fit when the room is part of the trend. When only one thing in the shot should change, Swap is the closer fit.

Both modes cost the same, so the choice is about the result, not the price. For a driving clip longer than 15 seconds, or a performance on a still image of your own, the AI motion transfer page covers the motion-control models that work from a still.

Starting from a reel, not a file

Remix opens on the Trending to recreate library: reels sorted into tabs such as Dance, Fashion, Cars and Pets, each card showing its length and views, with a Recreate button. You can also paste a TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or X link, or upload a clip of up to 200 MB.

Whatever the source, a remix uses 4 to 15 seconds of it. A longer clip opens a scrubber: drag to the part you want and tap Use this part, and the result is as long as that part, with its sound. Every remix asks you to confirm you own the clip or have permission to use it.

After the take: captions, posting and one balance

A finished take lands in the studio and in Generations. Add captions puts captions on it, and Auto Post schedules it to up to 9 networks from the same account: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Bluesky and Threads.

The credits come from one Versely balance that also pays for 50+ image, video, voice and music models, on the web and in the iPhone app, where Swap sits in the + Create menu and every avatar has Swap into a video.

    How it works

    1. 1. Find the clip

Tap Recreate on a reel in Trending to recreate, paste a link, or upload, and keep 4 to 15 seconds.

    2. 2. Pick Swap or Copy the moves

Swap when one thing should change, Copy the moves when your character should perform the clip.

    3. 3. Cast and point

Add a slot per change with a photo, an avatar or a ready-made character, and a What in the clip hint when the clip has more than one candidate.

    4. 4. Read the quote, then generate

Choose Lite or Pro, 480p to 1080p and 1 to 4 takes, read the price on the bar, tick the rights box and generate.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is Higgsfield Genjutsu?+

Higgsfield's tool for re-making a clip, launched on 1 September 2026. Motion Transfer keeps a clip's motion, camera and timing and rebuilds the scene from your reference images; Object Swap changes a selected character, outfit, product, location or object and keeps the rest of the shot. It takes one clip of 4 to 30 seconds and up to 30 reference images, and outputs 480p, 720p or 1080p.

How does Versely compare to Higgsfield Genjutsu?+

Versely Remix does the same two jobs as Swap and Copy the moves, on 4 to 15 second clips with up to 8 photos. It starts from a trend library, a TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or X link, or an upload, casts your avatars or 32 ready-made characters, and hands the take to captions and Auto Post in the same account. Genjutsu takes longer clips (up to 30 seconds) and more reference images (up to 30).

How do Versely Remix and Genjutsu prices compare?+

There is no honest single answer, because the two are priced in different credits. For 15 seconds at 720p, Higgsfield's guide listed 105 credits for Motion Transfer and 112 for Object Swap (prices checked 2 November 2026), and Remix quoted 178 credits at Lite and 605 at Pro (4 November 2026). What a credit costs depends on the plan you buy on each side, so compare the price each app shows for your own clip.

Can Remix use a 30-second clip like Genjutsu?+

Not in one run. Remix keeps 4 to 15 seconds of any clip, and a longer upload or link opens a scrubber so you choose the part. If you need all 30 seconds in one generation, Genjutsu takes it.

    Does Genjutsu have free runs?+

A few, on top of the plan's credits. Higgsfield's pricing page on 4 November 2026 listed 5 free Genjutsu Lite 1080p generations on Basic, Pro and Max, plus 3 free Genjutsu 720p generations on Pro billed yearly and on Max billed yearly (2 on Max billed monthly). Versely has no free remixes: each one costs credits, shown before you generate.

Does the swapped clip keep its original sound?+

In Versely Remix, yes: the original sound stays and the result runs as long as the part you picked. Higgsfield's Genjutsu page and guide, read on 4 November 2026, do not say either way for Genjutsu, so check a short test run there.
