Kling Image O1 is an edit row
Kling Image O1 is a 3-credit image-to-image editor. It is not Kling video. It needs a still; it will not invent a clip.
Kling Image O1 is a 3-credit image-to-image editor. It is not Kling video. It needs a still; it will not invent a clip. Kling Image O1 is Kuaishou, content type image, categories image-to-image and edit-image, 3 credits, requires an image, max references 10, empty duration list, audio empty, no 4K badge on the published card. Aspects include 21:9, 16:9, 3:2, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 2:3, 9:16, auto. This page is the catalog pick for the stills O1 card. It is not Kling O3 Pro video, not Kling Image 3.0 text-to-image, and not a motion-control row.
The description on the card talks about detailed images from text prompts. The categories and requires_image: true win. Trust the fields. If you have no file, you wanted Kling Image 3.0 (slug kling-v3-text-to-image, 3 credits, T2I) or another generate. Image O1 is the change.
O1 is not O3, and it is not video
Kling's roster is a name collision factory.
- Kling Image O1 — this page: stills edit / I2I, 3 credits, requires an image.
- Kling Image 3.0 — T2I stills, 3 credits, slug
kling-v3-text-to-image. - Kling O3 Pro Text to Video — kling-o3-pro-text-to-video, native audio, 70 credits, 3–15s.
- Kling O1 Image to Video — kling-o1-image-to-video, 56 credits, I2V, 3–10s. Same "O1" token, different content type.
- Kling O3 Pro Image to Video — 70 credits, I2V, native audio, 3–15s.
- Kling Video V3 Pro Motion Control — 17 credits, still plus driving clip.
Opening Image O1 because a brief said "Kling O1" is how you spend 3 credits and get a PNG while the producer expected a 70-credit take. Opening O3 Pro because a brief said "O1" is how you spend 70 credits to hunt a label. Write the slug on the ticket.
Image O1 has no duration menu. Prompting "3 seconds, native audio, camera left" will draw a still that looks like a frame from that shot. Native audio is a video-card flag. It is not on this stills editor.
Ten references is a lot of context for 3 credits. Use them as locks: the SKU, the face, the wardrobe, the set — on-model with the still you are changing. A ten-image mood board will pull the edit toward the board. Point at the object. Name the verb. Keep list at the end.
Match aspect to the source, or set auto if you mean auto. A 9:16 edit of a 16:9 plate is a crop.
Requires a still
The product is a delta.
Pick Image O1 when:
- You already have a still (camera, Kling Image 3.0, or another T2I) and the job is a change.
- You can point at the region: jacket, background, extra hand, cap colour.
- Extra references would actually help, up to 10.
- 3 credits is the right sticker for a Kling-family stills edit, not a 70-credit video hunt.
Skip Image O1 when:
- You have no file. That is T2I. Kling Image 3.0 is the Kling generate at the same 3 credits.
- You needed motion. That is O3 I2V, Hailuo, Omni, or Veo, after the still is locked.
- You needed cheap bulk retouch. Pruna is 1 credit and 4K.
- You needed 4K listed. This card does not list a ceiling. Qwen Image Edit lists 4K at 3 credits if the ceiling is the brief.
Do not paste a generate prompt into O1. "Cinematic bottle on marble, dawn, 85mm" restyles the identity you already signed. "Change the cap to matte black. Keep the label, the bottle shape, and the crop" is an edit.
The door for a first plate is text to image. The door for this slug is the model page with a source image attached. If the UI does not demand a file, you are not on Image O1.
Ten references, three credits
3 credits matches Kling Image 3.0's generate price and Qwen 2511's edit price. That does not make them the same job. Image 3.0 invents the plate. 2511 is Alibaba's instruction SKU. Image O1 is Kling's I2I/edit still with a large reference budget.
A useful O1 stack:
- The locked still (required).
- A second angle of the same SKU.
- A colour or material chip.
- A face you must keep, if the still has a person you have rights to.
Stop adding screenshots of "the vibe." Vibe refs are how ten slots become a new brand.
If the still is a generated person, you still have likeness and disclosure. Article 50 can apply to a realistic synthetic of a real person. An O1 wardrobe swap does not exempt the file.
Versus Nano Banana 2: Banana 2 is 8 credits with T2I + I2I + edit and 14 refs. O1 is 3 credits and will not generate from a blank page. Pick Banana 2 for the Google loop. Pick O1 for a cheap Kling-family change on a file.
Then a Kling video row if you meant motion
After you would print the edited still:
- If the deliverable is a still, stop.
- If frame one must move, image-to-video. Hailuo 2.3 Fast is 6s / 10s at 28 credits. Omni Video is 4–10s at 9 credits. Kling O3 Pro I2V is 70 credits when the motion job is actually O3. Veo 3.1 is 40 credits, 4 / 6 / 8 seconds, native audio, when the shot is Veo.
- If you needed motion control off a driving clip, that is the 17-credit V3 Pro motion-control card, not Image O1.
Captions on the clip. Add captions to video. The AI video generator will not run Image O1 as a take.
A week that does not confuse O1 with O3:
Monday: lock the still on Image 3.0 or a camera.
Tuesday: Image O1 for the named change. One verb per run.
Wednesday: I2V only if the PNG must move.
Thursday: captions, crop, disclose.
Friday: do not open Image O1 to add seconds. Open a video slug by its full name.
The test: is the source a still, and is the job a change? kling-image-o1, 3 credits. Is the source a sentence? Image 3.0 or another T2I. Is the job a clip? Name a video slug. "Kling O1" without "image" is how a 3-credit editor gets blamed for not talking.
Confirm the stills slug, then sign up when the job is a 3-credit Kling edit, not an O3-shaped guess. Image O1 stays I2I.
FAQ
Can Kling Image O1 generate from text only?
Not on this card. requires_image is true. Categories are image-to-image and edit-image. For a Kling still from a sentence, use Kling Image 3.0 (kling-v3-text-to-image).
Is Image O1 the same as O3 Pro I2V?
No. O3 Pro I2V is a 70-credit video row with durations. Image O1 is a 3-credit stills editor. After you lock the still on O1, I2V is a later slug.
Does it output 4K?
4K is not listed. Do not invent a ceiling. If the order said 4K stills, pick a row that lists 4K or upscale as its own job.
