Count Home Timeline, not public views

X eligibility is verified Home Timeline impressions, replies out. The public views column is the wrong meter this week.

Count Home Timeline, not public views. When you open X analytics this week, the column that can pay — and the column that feeds the 500,000 eligibility bar — is Home Timeline impressions, not the public impression total on the post. Search still looks up “500k verified home timeline impressions.” The eligibility guide is a different page. This page is the radio inside the dashboard: which column you copy into the tracker.

Home Timeline impressions are counts of a post shown in the Home feed — not profile, Search, or replies — and they are the ones that can pay. Original Content Rewards, which opened on 8 August 2026 after Revenue Sharing closed to new enrolments, meters a narrower object for payout: a unique impression from a Premium subscriber in the Home Timeline, with at least half the post on screen. Eligibility, as of the 7 August 2026 help page, is 500 verified followers plus 500,000 Home Timeline impressions from verified users in 90 days, replies excluded. The 500,000 is not “half a million views.” It is not the public counter with a zero knocked off.

The public column is a ceiling, not the meter

Analytics still shows a large impression number. That number includes profile visits, Search, hashtags, bookmarks, Explore, notifications, external shares, and reply impressions. Most of that pile does not write eligibility and does not write payout.

Treat the public total as a ceiling. If even the ceiling is under 500,000 in 90 days, you are not close. If the ceiling is millions and you still fail the gate, you were counting the wrong column. A reply-heavy account can look large and earn nothing. A post that sits quietly in Premium Home feeds can clear the gate with a smaller public digit.

This week, when you update the tracker:

    • Do not paste the public impressions cell into a row labelled “500k progress.”
    • Do not add reply impressions “because they are still impressions.”
    • Do not use a third-party “views” column as a proxy. X’s own Creator Studio → Original Content Rewards screen is the eligibility object. Believe that screen.

Payout is a third number again: unique Premium Home Timeline impressions, 50% visible, original posts. The 500 verified / 500k floor explains the gate. Do not use payout-qualified impressions as a substitute for the eligibility bar, or the other way around. This radio is only: Home Timeline versus public.

If a sponsor asks for “impressions on X,” name Home Timeline separately from the public total, the same way you name engaged views separately from YouTube public views. Mixing them is how a quote-tweet storm looks like a creator-fund win.

    Which column, which question

Question this week Column you copy What you ignore
Are we close to 500,000? Creator Studio Original Content Rewards / verified Home Timeline, 90 days, replies out Public impressions, reply graph, profile visits
What did this post earn? Premium Home Timeline unique impressions (payout definition) The same post’s public views
Did the post travel at all? Public impressions, labelled reach Using reach as a Rewards forecast
Did the thread help? Replies as a distribution tactic Adding reply impressions to the 500k

Threads you author still need the root post to travel as a post. Replies can get you into other people’s timelines. They do not fill the eligibility meter. Off-timeline traffic — newsletter clicks, search, profile, embeds — can grow the account and still sit outside this counter. Worth doing. Different column.

Verified versus unverified is inside the eligibility column, not a cosmetic badge. Five hundred verified followers is a subset of followers. Five hundred thousand verified Home Timeline impressions is a subset of impressions. Follow-for-follow spikes that stacked unverified accounts do not move this gate.

You cannot reconstruct X’s verified-Home-Timeline number from the public impression count. The public count applies none of the filters. Spreadsheets that multiply public impressions by a made-up “Premium share” are fiction. Open the Studio screen.

Habits that pick the wrong column

Checking the post’s public views every hour and calling it Rewards progress. That is reach anxiety, not a meter.

Optimising for reply bait because replies used to count toward a large organic pile under Revenue Sharing. They are excluded now. Write posts that can sit in Home as posts.

Pasting “500k views” into a pitch deck. The query people type is already wrong. Write “500,000 verified Home Timeline impressions in 90 days, replies excluded.” If that is too long for the slide, it is still the number. Shorten the label, not the definition.

Using the same tracker tab for YouTube public views and X public views and calling both “views.” Different platforms, different stay/pay objects. X’s pay object is Home Timeline. YouTube’s stay object is engaged views. Neither is the public digit.

Content rewards is the family name across apps. TikTok’s programme is not this column. Do not paste For You views into an X eligibility sheet.

    The Monday radio

    1. Open Creator Studio → Original Content Rewards. Copy that progress, not a public impressions export.
    2. Relabel the tracker column from “views” to “verified Home Timeline (90d).”
    3. Keep a separate reach column if you want it. Never add it to the 500k.
    4. If you are short, look at whether posts exist as posts on Home, not at whether you replied more.
    5. If a sponsor deck is going out this week, quote Home Timeline and define it in one line.

The generate dropdown does not pick this column. A better hook can move Home Timeline impressions if it is seen in Home. It cannot turn reply impressions into eligibility. Make the cut; count the right cell.

If you need the studio for the cuts you post to X, sign up. The radio this week is still the analytics column: Home Timeline, not public views.

    FAQ

Is the 500,000 bar the same as payout impressions?

No. Eligibility counts Home Timeline impressions from verified users in 90 days, replies out. Payout counts unique Premium Home Timeline impressions with at least 50% of the post visible. Clearing the door is not a forecast of the cheque.

Can I estimate Home Timeline from public views?

Not honestly. Public views are a ceiling with none of the filters applied. Use Creator Studio. A spreadsheet conversion is how you think you are close when you are not.

Do quote tweets count as Home Timeline?

A quote that appears in Home as a post is a post. The reply thread under it is still replies. Do not count the conversation graph as the 500k. Count what Studio attributes to Home Timeline on original posts.
