Home timeline is not public views

Home Timeline impressions are the X meter that can pay. Public views mix Search, replies, and profile. Do not paste them as one.

Home timeline is not public views. Home Timeline impressions are X counts of a post shown in the Home feed — not profile, Search, or replies — and they are the ones that can pay. Public views and public impressions mix the rest of the graph. Eligibility for Original Content Rewards, as of the 7 August 2026 help page, is 500 verified followers plus 500,000 Home Timeline impressions from verified users in 90 days, replies excluded. Payout, from 8 August 2026, is unique Premium Home Timeline impressions with at least half the post on screen. The public counter is a different pile. This page is the two definitions. The dashboard radio for which column to copy this week is a different post.

    Three meters, one product

Public impressions / public views. Everything Analytics will still show: Home, profile, Search, hashtags, bookmarks, Explore, notifications, external shares, reply impressions. Treat this as reach. A quote-tweet storm can look large here and earn nothing.

Verified Home Timeline impressions (eligibility). Unique enough to matter for the 500,000 bar, Home feed, verified users, 90 days, replies out. The 500,000 is not "half a million views." It is not the public counter with a zero knocked off.

Premium Home Timeline impressions (payout). Unique per account per post, Premium subscriber, Home Timeline, ≥50% of the post on screen. A non-Premium viewer in the same slot is not the payout event. A Premium viewer who saw a sliver in a conversation view is not the payout event.

Mixing them is how a reply-heavy account looks like a creator-fund win. It is also how a quiet post that sat in Premium Home feeds gets ignored because the public digit was smaller.

YouTube has a cousin split: public views versus engaged views after 24 August 2026. Do not analogise the numbers. The X object is an impression in a specific surface, not a playback second. A video on X still has to clear the same Home Timeline rules as a text post. Loops and rewatch do not mint extra unique Premium accounts.

    What each question should copy

    Question Meter What you ignore
Did this travel at all? Public impressions, labelled reach Using reach as a Rewards forecast
Are we close to 500,000? Verified Home Timeline, 90 days, replies out Public total, reply graph, profile visits
What did this post earn? Unique Premium Home Timeline (payout definition) The same post's public views
Did the thread help distribution? Replies as a tactic Adding reply impressions to the 500k

RPM on X is not a native YouTube-style cell until you divide a payout by a named thousand. Dividing dollars by public views produces a fake rate that includes Search. If you must quote a rate, divide by Premium Home Timeline unique impressions and say so. Third-party USD is the programme's payout, not a Versely price.

Completion rate and hook rate still describe the file when the post is video. They do not replace the impression definition. A video that holds in Home is the creative you wanted. A video that explodes in replies and dies in Home is a conversation piece. Both can be useful. Only one writes the Rewards thousand.

Originality still gates the programme. Recycled files, spam, and inauthentic farms are not rescued by a large public digit. Mashable's 21 July 2026 YouTube recap is a different platform; the lesson travels: volume of near-duplicates is not a payout strategy. On X, the original-content name is in the product title.

Why public metrics seduce the report

They are the big integer. They are what a sponsor asks for when they say "views on Twitter." They are what a third-party dashboard often labels "impressions" without a surface filter. They moved when you dropped a link in a Discord. They moved when a reply guy quote-posted you to his crowd, most of whom are not Premium and did not see you in Home.

Write the methodology on the insertion order. If the buy is awareness, public reach can be the number, labelled. If the buy is "we want a Rewards-eligible creator," Home Timeline is the number. Brand deals will quote public views is the YouTube version of this fight. Same discipline, different meter.

Do not count replies toward the 500,000. The help page excludes them. A thread is a distribution tactic. It is not a loophole.

Do not use a screenshot of the public view count on a video tab as a proxy for Home Timeline. Video views on X are not automatically Home Timeline impressions. The Rewards screen is the eligibility object. Believe that screen.

    Keep the columns labelled

In the weekly sheet: public reach, verified Home Timeline (90-day), payout-qualified Premium Home Timeline, replies as a separate tactic column. Never one cell named "views."

On the file: a first line that works in Home, where half the post must be on screen to pay. A link-only card that is 20% of the frame may be reach and still miss the 50% payout test. Video should hold as a picture, not as a URL preview. Burn a claim if the post is a clip. Captions still matter on mute autoplay in the timeline. The AI caption generator is that burn.

The 500 / 500k walkthrough is X: 500 verified followers and 500k Premium impressions. Which column to copy this week is Count Home Timeline, not public views. This page is only the definitions: Home versus public, eligibility versus payout.

Home timeline is not public views. Feed versus everywhere. Name the thousand.

Report the meter the programme actually counts, and caption the clip that has to hold there, in Versely.

    FAQ

Are Home Timeline impressions the same as video views?

No. Video views are a playback count. Home Timeline impressions are a feed-surface count. Rewards uses the feed-surface object, with verified versus Premium and a 50% visible test on payout.

Can I add reply impressions to get over 500,000?

Not for eligibility. The 7 August 2026 help page excludes replies. Treat replies as distribution, not as progress on the bar.

Why would public views be huge and payout be zero?

Search, profile, replies, non-Premium viewers, less than half the post on screen, or a post the programme does not treat as original. The public integer is reach. Payout is a narrower unique Premium Home event.
