Generation controls

    Motion level

Also called Motion strength, Motion amount.

Motion level is a coarse dial for how much movement a generated clip contains, usually offered as low, medium or high rather than a precise number.

It sets an amount, not a kind. High does not mean the model will do what you described more energetically — it means more change per frame overall, which includes the subject, the background and the camera together. Low is closer to a living photograph: small, contained movement with the frame largely intact.

The trade against coherence is direct and predictable. Every extra bit of motion is more for the model to keep consistent, so faces, hands and text degrade fastest at the top of the range. Anything with a product label or on-screen type in it is usually better served by the low setting.

Where a model does not expose the dial, the equivalent control is the prompt itself — the verbs you choose and how many you stack are what decide the energy of the shot.

    In practice

    • Low for talking heads, product shots and anything with legible text.
    • High for atmosphere and abstract b-roll, where anatomy is not being examined.
    • It is not a speed control; it will not make a described action happen faster.

    The mistake to avoid

Turning motion up because the clip felt static. Static often means the prompt named no action at all, and a higher motion level then adds drift rather than the action you wanted.
