5 tools for a talking review you did not film

HeyGen, Synthesia, Versely, Arcads, and Creatify make a talking review without a camera. Pick by avatar seat, credit pool, actor library, or URL.

You need a talking review. Nobody will sit down, the lighting is a stockroom, and the script is already written. Five tools will still say it out loud. HeyGen is the avatar seat with a public credit table. Synthesia is the L&D presenter desk. Versely is a UGC path plus a HeyGen V5 row on a credit pool. Arcads is the large UGC actor library. Creatify is the product-URL-to-actor shop. This page is that list. It is not "best AI avatar 2026." It is not a pitch to fake a customer.

A talking review you did not film is a script with a face. It is not a user-generated review. Caption it as a presenter. Disclose the synthetic speaker where the platform asks. Do not write "I bought this and my skin…" in the first person if no person did.

What a talking review you did not film is

Three files hide in the same brief.

The face. A stock avatar, a photo avatar, a digital twin, or a UGC-style actor. HeyGen, Synthesia, Arcads, Versely, and Creatify all sell a version of this. They do not share a look. Synthesia looks like training. Arcads looks like a phone. HeyGen looks like a studio twin if you trained one.

The voice. A stock voice, a clone, or a read of a script you pasted. If you clone a voice, you need the right to clone it. A review in a stranger's timbre is a different legal object from a stock voice.

The product proof. B-roll of the unit, a packshot cutaway, a screen recording. The talking head does not prove the SKU. Photograph the unit. Then cut it in. A generated bottle in the actor's hand is a listing problem.

If someone will film eight minutes, that is Descript or CapCut, and those editors are not on this list because they start from a recording. This list starts from a script.

    The five tools

    1. HeyGen. Start here if you want an avatar you will reuse and a meter you can read without signing in twice. HeyGen's pricing page (read 20 September 2026) lists Free at $0 with 3 videos a month, videos up to 1 minute, Avatar IV access, and 500-plus stock avatars. Creator is $29 a month ($24 billed yearly) with 600 credits, videos up to 30 minutes, 1080p, unlimited Photo Avatars, watermark off, voice cloning, 175-plus languages, and credit rollover. Pro starts at $49 a month with 1,000 credits and 4K. Business is $149 a month for the first seat plus $20 per extra seat, 1,500 credits, videos up to 60 minutes. The FAQ on that page meters Studio avatar video at 3 credits a minute on Avatar III and 20 credits a minute on Avatar IV and V. A 30-second IV/V review is not 10 credits. It is a minute-shaped bite of a 20-credit-per-minute pool if that is how the live meter rounds. Confirm before you batch ten scripts. HeyGen is the twin desk. It is a weak first click if you needed a handheld UGC actor from a product URL. It is the right click if the face is a presenter you will keep saying next week's script.

    2. Synthesia. Open Synthesia when the review is really a presenter in a clean room, and your company already thinks in minutes of video, not in UGC hooks. Synthesia's pricing (read 20 September 2026) lists Basic at $0 with 1,200 credits a month (up to 10 minutes of video). Starter is $29 a month, or $18 a month billed yearly, with downloads, logo off, 125-plus stock avatars, and 10 minutes of video. Creator is $89 a month with 3,600 credits, 30 minutes of video, 180-plus avatars, 5 personal avatars, and API access. Enterprise is sales-led, with 240-plus stock avatars and unlimited personal avatars on that table. Synthesia is built for L&D, branded share pages, and SCORM. Some shops still use it as the "founder who will not film" voice. It is the wrong first tool if you needed a kitchen-floor UGC look. It is the right tool if legal already approved the avatar and the script is a feature walkthrough you will not shoot.

    3. Versely. Versely sits here because a lot of shops want a talking review on a credit pool, not another monthly avatar seat, and they still want a one-tap if the open is a trend. The talking review is the UGC video generator: avatar, script, captions, 9:16. If you want the HeyGen engine on that same bill, the published catalog row is HeyGen Avatar V5: 8 credits a second, 40 minimum, 960 maximum. That is not a HeyGen subscription. It is a billed twin. A 5-second clip at 8 credits a second is 40 credits, which is also the floor. A 30-second clip is 240 credits. The wider picker is the AI video generator when the review needs a generated cutaway rather than a talking plate. Finger Snap is about 18 credits discounted (35 full) and is a one-photo trend, not a review. Do not run Finger Snap as a testimonial. If you need a silent product cutaway under the talk track, Hailuo 2.3 Fast is 12 credits at 6s discounted (23 full) on image-to-video. Versely is not HeyGen's workspace. It is not Arcads' 1,000-actor library. It is the tool when you would rather pick a UGC path or a catalog twin than hire a reviewer, and you still want motion rows later on the same bill.

    4. Arcads. Open Arcads when the talking review is supposed to look like a creator on a phone, not a studio avatar. Arcads' homepage (read 20 September 2026) advertises 1,000-plus AI actors, Talking Actors, Unboxing, Product Showcase, UGC Studio, captions, actor swap, and localization they describe as more than 30 languages. There is no public pricing page on that date. Arcads' terms say unused credits are not refunded or carried forward. Price the plan inside the app the day you buy. Arcads is a UGC actor desk. It is not Synthesia's training seat. It is not HeyGen's twin workspace. If the job is a realistic talking presenter holding your product, this is the tool people mean when they say Arcads. Do not present that actor as a verified buyer.

    5. Creatify. Open Creatify when the talking review should start from a product URL rather than from a trained twin. Creatify's pricing (read 20 September 2026) lists Free at 10 monthly credits (up to 2 video ads, 300 AI actors, watermark). Starter is $39 a month with 100 credits, 300 actors, 200-plus templates, videos up to 2 minutes. Pro is $99 a month with 300 credits default (slider to 5,000), 1,500 actors plus 3 custom avatars, 500-plus templates, Ad Clone, and an Ad Launcher for Meta, TikTok, and AppLovin. Creatify's UGC page (read 20 September 2026) is the job: AI actors speaking a product ad. A "review" in this tool is a script you wrote. It is not a customer. You stay because URL-in is the door. You leave when the face had to be a HeyGen twin you already trained, or when the look had to be Synthesia's training presenter.

How to pick without a fake customer

Write the sentence before you open a tool.

    • "The same face will say twelve scripts this quarter": HeyGen.
    • "This is a training-style walkthrough and we already pay Synthesia": stay.
    • "Credit pool, UGC path, optional V5 row, optional product orbit": Versely.
    • "It should look like a phone UGC review": Arcads, priced in-app.
    • "I have a URL and I want an actor talking about the SKU": Creatify.

Two tools is a stack. HeyGen plus a caption pass in CapCut covers a twin. Arcads plus real packshot B-roll covers a UGC-look review. Versely plus Hailuo covers talk plus a silent cutaway. Five tools is a review you will not film and a bill you will not read.

Do not clone a real creator without a release. Do not put a stock avatar in a white coat and imply a clinician. Do not use a first-person "I" if the "I" is a model. Meta's AI info label help (read 20 September 2026) says some generative ads get labeled under About this ad. Political and social-issue ads have a separate disclosure. A talking review of a vitamin is still an ad claim.

Credits on Versely are not dollars. Do not convert 8 credits a second into a USD figure. HeyGen, Synthesia, and Creatify publish USD seats. Those are their meters.

    After the script is spoken

Mute is most of the views. Burn captions. If the export from the avatar tool is thin, finish in CapCut. Overlay the price. Do not bake $29 into the pixels of a generated still behind the speaker.

Cut in a photograph of the unit. A talking review with no product plate is a face. A talking review with the real SKU is closer to honest.

When the job is a UGC-style talking review or a V5 twin on a credit pool, sign up and run the generator or the model row. When the job is a HeyGen twin you already trained, stay in HeyGen. The list is five tools. The review is one script.

    FAQ

Can these five replace a customer on camera?

For a scripted presenter, yes. For a testimonial you will defend, no. A real buyer saying they paid you is still the thing you hire or request. These tools remove the sit-down. They do not remove a person you actually wanted.

Why is Versely in the middle of a five-tool list?

Because this page is the job, not a homepage. The UGC video generator and the Avatar V5 row are real doors. They are not HeyGen's workspace or Arcads' actor library. If you needed a credit-pool talking clip, Versely is the row. If you needed a twin you will train once and keep, HeyGen is.

Is a Synthesia presenter a product review?

It is a presenter reading a review script. Call it that. Shoppers who wanted a kitchen UGC clip will bounce. Shoppers who wanted a clear feature walkthrough might stay. Pick the look on purpose.
