Safe-zone percentages in a blog post go stale the moment a platform redesigns its UI. Get the current template from the platform, then verify the export.
A safe-zone number has a specific failure mode: it's confidently exact and quietly out of date. Somebody measured a platform's UI overlay at some point, wrote down a specific margin to keep clear, and that figure has been copied into spec sheets and template PNGs ever since — surviving redesigns, new UI elements, and format changes the original measurement never accounted for. The number looks precise. Precision isn't the same as current.
Why there's no single number to memorize in the first place
