    Camera path meaning

Also called Camera trajectory, Keyframed camera, Camera move path.

A camera path is a planned trajectory for the virtual camera — keyframed push, orbit, or crane — not a single motion word and not a motion-level dial.

Camera control on this site is the coarse switch: lock the camera off, or name a move in the prompt — dolly in, orbit left, handheld. A camera path is the next degree of authoring: where the camera is at the start, where it is at the end, and the curve in between. Some models expose that as start and end camera poses, a spline, or a list of waypoints. The prompt word 'orbit' is a vibe. A path is a route.

First-last-frame is not a camera path. It interpolates two pictures of the world; the camera is implied by how those pictures differ. Motion-control drives a subject with a clip; the camera in the output follows the driving take only insofar as the model copies it. Asking for a path and a competing subject action at once is how anatomy breaks at the fastest part of the move. One route, one action.

Lock-off is still the right default for talking heads, labels, and anything with type in the frame. A path earns its keep on product orbits, establishing shots, and the one push-in that is the hook. If the model has no path control, you do not get one by writing more camera synonyms. You pick a model that exposes the trajectory, or you generate the stills and interpolate them on purpose.

    In practice

    • Name one path. A push that is also an orbit that is also handheld is three briefs.
    • Keep the subject simpler when the camera is travelling; the coherence budget is shared.
    • If the row has no camera-path control, a prompt adverb will not invent one.

    The mistake to avoid

Describing a camera path in image-to-video while also re-describing the input frame. The model tries to travel and to stay, and the composition drifts off the still you paid for.
