Most creative SaaS sells access twice: a subscription for the workspace, then a price for every human who logs in. That second price is the seat. Design tools, editing suites, and a lot of 'team' AI products meter this way so a five-person studio pays five times a solo. The seat is a licence for a person, not a unit of compute. It does not buy a generate. It buys a login.
Versely's published pricing does not add that layer. There is no per-seat fee and no separate API wallet. The workspace shares a credit balance; a generation deducts credits whether one person ran it or five people took turns. That is why this glossary's billing pages talk about credits and billing type rather than headcount. If a vendor quote leads with seats, you are comparing a different product shape.
Seats still show up in the brief when a client asks 'how many users is that' or when you are stacking Versely next to a tool that does charge per head. Answer with the unit that actually meters the work: credits per job, and the billing type of the model (per-second, flat, per-megapixel). Headcount is a permission question — who is invited — not a price multiplier on this stack.
In practice
- When a procurement form asks for seats, say the workspace is credit-metered and not licensed per named user.
- Invite the people who need to run jobs; do not treat an unused login as a cost, because it is not one here.
- Compare vendor quotes on the unit they actually bill — seats, credits, or seconds — not on the monthly headline.
The mistake to avoid
Budgeting Versely as if adding an editor will add a seat line. The line that moves is the credit burn from the jobs they run.

Credit
A credit is Versely's own metering unit — a fixed amount is deducted from your balance for each generation, so one number covers every provider's wildly different native pricing.
Billing type
Billing type is which measurable thing a model's price is actually keyed to — time, a flat per-job charge, or the size of the input or output — and it is why two models can charge wildly different credit totals for what looks like the same request.
Per-second pricing
Per-second pricing bills a generate by the length of the finished clip, so credits scale with duration rather than with a flat job fee.
Batch generation
Batch generation meaning: running one brief as several jobs at once (variants, models, or formats) so comparison happens in one sitting.
Credit pack
A credit pack is a one-time purchase of Versely credits — the metering unit — topping up the same balance a subscription already grants.
