    Meta Vibes for AI creators

Vibes is Meta's AI-only short-form feed in Meta AI. Remix clips and cross-post to Reels/Stories. Early models: Midjourney and Black Forest Labs.

Vibes is an AI-only short-form video feed inside the Meta AI app. You scroll clips that were generated, not filmed. You can make a clip, remix someone else's, and cross-post to Instagram and Facebook Reels and Stories. Meta said so in its newsroom post on 25 September 2025. Early generation in that feed used third-party models, including Midjourney and Black Forest Labs — not as a Versely catalog claim, as Meta's own early-version partnership line, later echoed in Social Media Today's same-day write-up and in Meta Superintelligence Labs' public comments.

This page is what a Versely creator should do with that surface. It is not a review of whether the feed is "good." It is not a ranking theory.

    What Meta shipped

    The newsroom takeaways are short:

    • Vibes is a feed of AI videos at the centre of the Meta AI app, also on meta.ai.
    • You can start from scratch, use content you already have, or remix a video from the feed — add visuals, layer music, change style.
    • When you share, you can post to the Vibes feed, DM friends, or cross-post to Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels.
    • If you see a Meta AI video on Instagram, you can tap through to remix it in the Meta AI app.

Social Media Today described the product as a full-screen swipe of purely AI-generated clips, with an editor for sharing and remixing, sitting in the same app Meta uses as a hub for AI glasses. That is the object: a closed AI-native player with an escape hatch into Reels and Stories.

What Meta did not ship in that post: a promise that Vibes replaces Reels, a creator fund, a model picker with named rows you control, or captions as a production tool. The Meta AI app is still, in Meta's words, a hub for glasses and for the assistant. Vibes is the video toy in that hub.

Treat "AI-only" literally. The feed is not your filmed talking-head plus a filter. If you need a camera, you are in Reels, TikTok, or Shorts, not in Vibes. If you need a generated clip to live next to other generated clips, Vibes is the room Meta built for that.

Remix and cross-post are the product

The feature Meta is proud of is not "we have a video model." It is that a clip can be remixed and then walked onto Instagram.

Remix means your output is downstream of someone else's generation. That is useful as a sketching surface. It is a rights and disclosure mess if you treat the remix as original brand work. You do not control the upstream prompt, the upstream likeness, or the upstream music. For anything with a client, a product label, or a real person's face, do not start in someone else's Vibes clip. Start from assets you hold.

Cross-post to Reels and Stories means the AI-only feed is also a hose into the main Meta surfaces. A clip that was acceptable as a toy in Vibes becomes, on Reels, a post next to filmed UGC, ads, and friends. Meta's own labelling stack (C2PA/IPTC plus self-disclosure, "AI Info") is the Reels-side policy. Do not assume a Vibes origin tag is a complete Article 50 label for an EU audience. If the clip resembles a real person, place, or event that would appear authentic, the Article 50 visible label still belongs at first exposure. The disclosure template is the copy. Remix does not exempt you.

Tap through from Instagram to remix in Meta AI is a distribution loop. Your Reels audience can be invited into the toy. That is fine for a campaign that is explicitly about AI looks. It is noise for a product demo that needed a readable label and a safe area caption. If the work has to survive as a Reel, finish it as a Reel: burned captions, ratio, disclosure. Then, if you want, also drop a version in Vibes. Do not finish in Vibes and hope Reels will typeset it.

Music layered in a remix is not a licence. Meta's in-app bed is Meta's in-app bed. If you take the file out, you do not automatically take the right to that bed. Generate or license audio you can defend, or post only where Meta's audio stays inside Meta.

    Early models, not your catalog

Alexandr Wang, posting at launch, said that for the early version Meta had partnered with Midjourney and Black Forest Labs while developing its own models. Social Media Today independently noted Meta's Midjourney partnership in the same news cycle. CNBC, 7 July 2026, reporting the Muse Image launch, wrote that Meta had previously used third-party models like Midjourney and Black Forest Labs to power image and video generation in the Meta AI app and site, and that Meta planned to use its own model to reduce that reliance.

Those sentences are the sourcing for "early models from Midjourney and Black Forest Labs." They are not a guarantee of which weights sit behind a given Vibes clip in September 2026. Meta can swap the stack. You will not get a Versely-style model card, duration enum, or credit price inside Vibes. You get a feed.

    Implications for a Versely user:

    • You cannot match a Vibes look by picking "the Vibes model" on Versely. There is no such row. If you need Flux-family stills, you pick a Flux card we actually publish. If you need Midjourney, that is Midjourney. If you need a named video model with a contract — Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.0, Kling — you run that row here, not in a swipe toy.
    • Identity lock is weaker in a remix feed. Other people's clips are not your character sheet. Lock stills on an image row, animate on a video row, then decide whether Vibes is a place to post the result.
    • Quality and physics will move as Meta swaps partners for internal models. Do not write a brand kit that says "the Vibes look." Write a brand kit that names palettes, faces, and type, then generate where those files attach.

Black Forest Labs is also the lab behind Flux. That is a useful coincidence for stills work, not a reason to assume a Vibes video is a Flux 3 generate you can reproduce by guessing the prompt.

What a Versely creator should actually do

Use Vibes as a destination, not as the studio. Generate the clip where you can pick the model, attach stills, burn captions, and keep a credit history. Post a copy to Vibes if you want that audience. Cross-post to Reels only after the file is a Reel: 9:16, captions, disclosure, audio you can defend.

Do not chase remix reach with client product. A remix of a stranger's clip that happens to include a bottle that looks like yours is not a product ad. It is a liability. Product work starts from your stills.

Do treat it as a trend surface. If a look is spreading in Vibes, that is useful the way a Reels audio is useful: you can see what is in the water. Recreate the brief (camera, palette, joke structure) on a named model. Do not scrape the clip into your ad account.

Keep the two Meta surfaces straight. Reels is where your followers already are, with Meta's AI Info label and Reels bonuses that, per Vexub's 2026 recap, depend on disclosure. Vibes is the AI-only toy with a hose into Reels. A bonus on Reels is a Reels policy. Vibes posting is not a substitute for that disclosure.

Skip it when the job is UGC that must look filmed. UGC ads that need a kitchen and a real hand still want a camera or a generator you control, plus a creator-style cut. Dropping those in an AI-only feed teaches the viewer the ad is a toy. Sometimes that is honest and fine. Sometimes it kills the testimonial. Choose.

The AI video generator is the launcher for the named row. Add captions before the file hits Reels. Open a studio account at Sign up if the next clip needs a model card and a still, not a remix of a stranger's fever dream.

Vibes is real, dated, and documented. It is not a replacement for a studio, not a Midjourney licence, and not a reason to stop labelling synthetic media when you step from the toy into Reels.

    FAQ

Is Vibes inside Instagram or a separate app?

The feed lives in the Meta AI app and on meta.ai. Cross-posting can place a clip on Instagram and Facebook Reels and Stories. Instagram can also tap through into Meta AI to remix. It is not a new tab that replaces Reels.

Can I pick Midjourney or Flux inside Vibes?

Meta's early version used partners including Midjourney and Black Forest Labs. That is not a user-facing model picker with the contract of a catalog row. If you need a named model, run it where the row is named.

Should I generate ads in Vibes?

Not if you need identity lock, a readable product label, captions, or a disclosure you control. Generate in a studio, finish the Reel, then optionally also post to Vibes. Remix other people's AI clips for sketches, not for a client's SKU.
