Publish from the editor to every platform

Export from the Versely web editor, check the cut, reframe for TikTok and Shorts, then queue it in Auto Post. Reschedule without a second charge.

    Versely Team••9 min read

Export the locked cut from the video editor, run check a video before you publish it, make a 9:16 file for each short-form destination that still needs one, then drop that file on a slot in Auto Post. Reschedule or edit a caption later without being charged again. The editor makes the file. Auto Post places it. The Queue tab will not crop a landscape master for you.

Open the editor on the same account you use on Android. On a wide screen the Editor Agent sits beside the timeline by default. Type in plain words, or click a named automation. Free edits land instantly. Credit jobs wait for your OK.

Finish and export the cut you will post

Do not export a moving timeline. Lock picture. If someone is speaking and you still need burned-in subtitles, caption after the trim, not before. Caption the whole cut in the agent is that job. A bumper you drop after the burn takes every cue with it.

Ask What's on my timeline? if you are not sure what survived the last pass. That rundown is free. Cut & arrange — trim, split, reorder, speed, transitions — is free. Canvas & brand will set the aspect ratio and apply your brand kit; those are free too. Skip the Brand Kit panel if it is empty.

Finish & export is the last group on the agent: dub, upscale, clean up, render. Dub and upscale spend credits and wait for OK. Skip them unless the file is in the wrong language or too soft to post. The step you actually need is render. That is the MP4 you will attach. Watch that file, not the timeline preview under editor chrome.

If the cut is still landscape and the first destination is TikTok, click Auto-edit for TikTok before you render. That automation sets vertical 9:16, puts a hook title over the open, and cuts dead air. It is picture and a title, not a caption burn or a publish. Look at the timeline after it runs. Then render once. Keep that export.

Check the cut before you publish it

The named pass is check a video before you publish it. Run it on the export, not on a draft still being trimmed. The check does not repair anything. It tells you whether this file is the one you will attach.

Watch it yourself first, on mute, at phone size. Read the first cue, the names, the numbers, the hook title. Confirm four things:

    • The frame is the one the destination wants. TikTok, Reels, and Shorts want 9:16. A 16:9 talking-head with black bars is not a vertical post.
    • Audio is present if the cut is supposed to have speech or a bed.
    • Burned-in captions and the hook title sit inside the picture, not under the username, the caption strip, or the engagement column.
    • The first frame is not blank, not a flash, not the last frame of a transition.

If a word is wrong on the burn, recaption the source in the editor and export again. If the open is slow, trim and export again. Do not attach the known-bad file and "fix it in the caption field." That field is the text under the post. It does not rewrite pixels.

Use the named check when this file is about to leave. It is the right last step on a keeper, not a first step on a take you will recut.

Make vertical, resize for TikTok, convert to Shorts

One master is not automatically every platform. Short-form wants 9:16. A landscape camera original, a square product plate, or a 16:9 YouTube cut will play letterboxed if you drop it on TikTok as-is. Do the reframe in the editor.

Three named jobs cover the usual destinations. Use the one that matches the file you have, not all three on the same export.

Destination Named job What you ask
Any vertical short Make a video vertical Set this to 9:16. Crop to the subject if the source is wide.
TikTok Resize a video for TikTok 9:16, and trim to the length you will actually post.
YouTube Shorts Convert a video to Shorts Keep the range that is the Short, then 9:16.

Make a video vertical is the general 9:16 reframe. Landscape or square in, full-screen mobile out. Tell the agent whether to crop tight on the subject or keep more of the original frame. Wide footage loses the left and right edges. Check the crop before you render.

Resize a video for TikTok is the same family of work aimed at that app: 9:16, and usually shorter than the source. You can type it, or click Auto-edit for TikTok on the agent panel if you also want the hook title and the dead-air cut. Do not run Auto-edit and then make-vertical on the result. If the canvas is already 9:16, you are done with the frame.

Convert a video to Shorts is for a longer file you still need to clip. Name the range you want to keep. It will not pick the best thirty seconds for you. A ten-minute original dumped on YouTube as a Short is still a ten-minute original. Trim or convert first, then render that Short.

If the locked cut is already 9:16 and under a minute, TikTok, Reels, and Shorts can share the file. You still write a different caption per slot. LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and the rest of the Auto Post list can take that same vertical. You need a second master when the frame is wrong, not when the network changes. Canvas & brand will also take "set this to 9:16" as a free edit.

Connect once, click a slot, schedule

Open Auto Post. Connect each account you actually publish to, once:

    • Instagram
    • TikTok
    • YouTube
    • X
    • Facebook
    • LinkedIn
    • Pinterest
    • Snapchat
    • Threads
    • Reddit
    • Bluesky

Connect a social account is the named job if you would rather say it in the agent. Connecting is not a generation. It does not spend credits. You do not need all eleven today. One TikTok or Instagram account is enough for the first cell on the grid.

Open the Queue tab. You get a week-grid calendar, an accounts rail of avatars, and dashed Autopilot placeholders on the posting times you already set. Click a dashed placeholder, or any empty cell, to compose.

    1. Attach the export. The library is the same library the editor just wrote to.
    2. Write the caption for this account. The TikTok caption is not the LinkedIn caption.
    3. Confirm the face on the rail. The cell already picked a time. Check the account.
    4. Schedule it.

That click is post or schedule to social media as a calendar action. The agent job is the same publish, said in plain words: now, or at a time. Use one door. Clicking a slot and also asking the agent to schedule the same file is how you get two posts at 19:00.

A slot is one post. The same 9:16 cut on TikTok and Reels is two slots, two captions, two accounts. If the cut is still moving, leave the dash empty and go back to the editor.

Manage my scheduled posts is the agent list onto the same queue: what is scheduled, a cancel. Use the tab when you are placing files. Use the agent when you want the rundown in chat. Series you set up through the agent also land on this grid. Skip series on day one. This page is one exported cut on one slot.

The first cell on the grid

The credits for a scheduled post were spent making the file, not clicking the calendar. Drag the post to a different slot. Edit the caption. Neither action bills you again. Do that when the time is wrong, when two posts landed on the same hour, or when the copy has a date that moved. Do not regenerate the video to move it. Do not cancel and re-upload to fix "link in bio."

A Queue caption edit is the text under the post. Burned-in subtitles live in the MP4. If those words are wrong, recaption the source, export, and replace the attachment. Cancelling a scheduled cell stops the publish. It does not refund a generate that already ran. If the post is already live, cancel is a delete. Confirm before you pull a live row.

Day one is a single file on a single cell. Run it in this order:

    1. Open the video editor on the account you already use on Android. Lock the cut. Click Auto-edit for TikTok if the frame is still wide. Render from Finish & export.
    2. Watch the export on mute at phone size. Run check a video before you publish it. If the destination is TikTok or Shorts and the file is still the wrong shape or the wrong length, use resize a video for TikTok or convert a video to Shorts, then render that variant.
    3. Open Auto Post. Connect one account if the rail is empty. Open the Queue tab. Click a slot, attach the export, write the caption, schedule it.

That filled cell is the first post. Drag it one hour later and change one line of the caption. Confirm nothing extra was billed. Then, if you have a second network connected, click a second slot, attach the same 9:16 file, write the other caption, and schedule that one too.
