This is not a promise about how carefully we handle your upload. There is no upload. The file you choose is read into memory by your own browser, processed there, and handed back as a download — the tool has no server component and makes no network request with your data.
- Nothing is stored. We never receive the file, so there is no copy to retain, no retention period to disclose, and nothing to delete on request.
- Nothing is transmitted. No upload endpoint, no analytics payload carrying file contents, no third-party processor.
- You can verify it. Load this page, disconnect from the internet, and use the tool. It still works, because everything it needs is already on your machine.
- Nothing persists after you close the tab. Files are held in page memory only — not in local storage, not in a cache, not in a database.
A note on wording, because it matters: we do not describe these tools as “encrypted.” Encryption protects data that travels to somebody else's computer. Your file does not travel, so there is nothing to encrypt and nothing to intercept — which is a stronger guarantee than encryption, not a weaker one. The page itself is served over HTTPS like the rest of the site.
This makes the tools safe for material you are contractually barred from uploading to third-party services — client footage under NDA, unreleased campaign assets, anything covered by a confidentiality clause.
Questions about the free Instagram tools
- Is there a free Instagram caption generator?
- Yes. Describe your post or Reel, pick a tone, and the caption generator writes six captions with a strong first line, a call to action and at most 3 hashtags. The bio generator writes eight bios under the 150-character limit, and the hashtag generator groups tags from broad to specific. They are free with a small daily limit and no account. An AI model writes them, so the text you type is sent to Versely's server; it is not stored.
- How do I split a photo into a 3x3 Instagram grid?
- Drop the photo into the grid maker, choose 3x3, 3x2 or 3x1, adjust the crop and download the numbered tiles as a ZIP. Tiles are 1080x1440, the 3:4 shape Instagram's profile grid has used since January 2025. Post them from 01 up to the highest number with nothing in between, because the last tile you post becomes the top-left square.
- How long can an Instagram caption or bio be, and how many hashtags?
- A caption can be up to 2,200 characters, a bio up to 150 and a post up to 5 hashtags, according to Meta's developer documentation and Instagram's Help Center (checked September 2026). The character counter shows those limits next to every other platform's, counted the way each one counts.
- How can I see how a new post will look on my Instagram grid?
- Open the profile grid preview and drop in the images you plan to post. It lays them out as a profile grid on your device, with the newer portrait cells or the old square ones, and exports the preview as a PNG you can share with a client before anything goes live.
- Can I turn a landscape video into an Instagram Reel for free?

- How do I make an Instagram carousel without Canva?

- Do these Instagram tools upload my photos or videos?

The AI tools, such as the subtitle generator, download their model once on first use and your browser caches it; your file still stays on your device. The one exception is the four writing tools (caption, bio, hook and hashtag generators): the text you type is sent to Versely's server so an AI model can write the options, and it is not stored. There is no account and no watermark.
